sdsurf
What is a naps z motor worth? I have one in my 521 that I was told has good compression. I don't want it, I want to run L-series so what is a decent one worth? Complete, air cleaner to oil pan Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
What is a naps z motor worth? I have one in my 521 that I was told has good compression. I don't want it, I want to run L-series so what is a decent one worth? Complete, air cleaner to oil pan If it is a Z20E from a 200sx it will have the desirable 152.5mm long rods and flat top pistons (will bolt into the L20B and give 8.9? compression. Also the crank is fully counterweighted and is identical to the L20B. (at least the twp that I have were) Also the flywheel is a fairly rare 6 bolt 200mm and will fit a Roadster clutch. If it's a Z22 then the block and internals are pretty much an L20B but with larger bore and stroke. An L20B head and timing coveer a gear will fit to make it an LZ22 motor. Flywheel could be 225mm or 240mm. S0 worth more than $50 to the right person. Find an old L20B and swap parts on and sell it as a 'stroker' Z22. Quote Link to comment
