  1. the best fantasy author of our time has passed from a rare blood disease. i'm just wondering if any of you have read the wheel of time series? the last book to conclude the series will have to be finished by his wife and friend.it's been finished in his head and he told very few people how it was going to end. http://www.dragonmount.com/RobertJordan/
  2. the last clock on ebay went for $77 in april i dont know if it was claimed to be tested or not. the last 2 tach's on ebay went for $34 and $111.50 . the last 2 flat key roadster antenna's went for $40 and $128 this is the one that goes on the 521 that i want to find. so depending on the day, the sky is the limit. just a quick fyi
  3. i thought they were supposed to be felt on both sides. everytime i've tried to remove them at the yard i just end up screwing them up. are you supposed to remove them with the clips bending them out or straight up leaving the clips behind? i should know this for as many as i've screwed up:mad: seems like i can get them almost out and then the last clip screws with me laughing at me as i pry with my flat tip. i wonder if the 620 squeges will fit on the 521?
  4. what was this cop hiding behind a bush or what? you got to hate when the favortism kicks in and they start looking for you. dont lay off the burnouts, life is short and you only live once. pick a different spot or go around the block first and make double sure the cop or any kids are around who might jump out in the street. it's so wet in washington it's kinda hard not to do burnouts.:D
  5. jwilk keep this thread alive and tell us if the jc whitney stuff works. i think we all need window felt. fisch let us also know what you end up going with.

  7. mklotz70 thats a grand idea to run the wires back down to the pedal! wished i'd thought of that.
  8. what is exactly the problem to where you want to replace the fuel pump? if in doubt try bolting it back up and removing the hose that goes to the carb and see if fuel squirts out when you turn the engine over.
  9. welcome, you have a awesome truck! it looks good without the eyebrow and grill trim. is that a satin or flat paint job? witch ever it's nice. how about some interior and under the hood pics?
  10. no sense in hanging on to it if he doesn't want to keep it. if your going to sell to the highest bidder than post it on ebay. i thought my rare locking glove box option on my 521 would be worth $100 or so but it's not worth shit. even on ebay. of coarse if you wanted to buy mine you better caugh up a bill. if you want to help a fellow datter out then try charging $20-50. but try to sell it to someone who needs it. stay away from the parts hoarders on this one.:D
  11. only other way is to use two nuts and butt them up to remove the fuel pump studs. only problem is you run the risk of striping the studs if it doesn't work.
  12. as long as the owner fills out that detachable sellers report and mails it in or does it online it doesn't matter if the new owner transfers the title or not. thats what the sellers report is for. you should all do that when getting rid of a vehicle.
  13. tripple oops i see your profile in the corner says 70 521. maybe you just need to bleed the system? dont know if i've seen those switches for sale.
  14. double oops. i'm a jack-ass. your pressure switch will be to the right of your fuse box. above the starter on the fire wall connected to the brake line box. 71-72 will be a mechanical switch in front of the pedal.
  15. on the 71-72 its a switch at the pedal. earlier years have a pressure valve sitting on top of the brake line junction block. sounds like you have a pressure switch operated light switch. it looks like a oil dummy light pressure switch. oops i guess i dont even know what your working on. well thats how the 521's are at least.
  16. i listed my parts truck 521 as a shell only on craigslist and a scrapper (gregs towing) came by the next day and bought it from me for $50. all he asked for was a title. i signed the title and the next time i went to pull-a-part i saw my truck in the yard. this was only a couple months ago. if you dont have a title and dont care who owned it last drag it in the alley and call it in as abandon. tell them it just appeared a month ago and it's been sitting there. you should have a local abandon hot line in your phone book or a non emergency number. if you cant find these numbers call 911 and ask them what your area abandon car or non emergency number is. i rent apartments and have to call these numbers sometimes.
  17. i knew there are those out there who get off on the smell. i myself like the smell of burning rubber. takes me back to when i was a kid at spanaway speedway. the good'ol care free days of when i was young.
  18. i hate diesel's they stink like shit. diesels should be illegal in cars and small trucks. ah screw it they should all be illegal. i dont care how much gas mileage it gets or long the engines last. sorry about that some of us are chemically sensitive. certain smells and noises drive me crazy!!
  19. looks great i love it. i want a 320!! although i think i like the regular l style better. i think most people like the nl style better. but you know if i had the chance i'd have a nl no questions asked.
  20. i pried for a couple hours one time and the whole time it was so close to going on. that was my first time. the second time was a little easier but not much. it has a lot to do with the damn angle of it. good going on getting that back on.
  21. nice truck and great work! i love to watch the progress. sweet grill and ya gotta love those interior door handles. it's all about the commitment. yeah baby!!
  22. might it be leaking at the drain plug? you'll still not know how bad it is until you look on the inside. if it's not rusty on the inside and it's only rusty on the outside you may be able to have it repaired and pressure tested. it's very hard to find a shop that works on gas tanks. some radiator shops will. the last place i used was performance radiator. cost me $65 to weld my leaks and pressure test on my 65 dart. just dont try to use any stuff thats supposed to reline the inside of the tank. gas tanks may be big but there are fairly light. not much packing needed to ship one. just a slight oversize nonmatch charge from the post office. tdaaj has one for sure. he doesn't like to ship large items. but if you bug the shit out of him and wave some cash under his nose he may just help you out. hell all he has to do is drop it off at fedex or ups and they'll box it for him. pm this guy he has your tank! worst case you may have to bribe one of us to pull the next one out of pull-a-part and ship it to you. pull-a-part in tacoma has no 521's at the moment but they come in all the time.
  23. you can look at the 620.com wiring diagrams. maybe i'll try to look to notice a difference. only other thing is for me to remove my old one and send it to you to match up.
