My truck has the same set up as your and also stops there... I think its because of the head Bonvo. I read somewhere on Ratsun that a a87 peanut head non sss cant suck so much air... So it kind of stops the engine around 5-6k. If it was an sss or the head was ported... It can rev higher????

Nah man, if your hinge is good you could mess it up sticking something down there. Maybe your dash shrunk and stuff... Just turn the knob and pull. If you cant open it and your dash is good. I wouldn't fuck with it...

This is what they do with metal wheels. They got to have some rings that can be made to fit you car and use a 2 peice JDM wheel... If not you can get some cool metal wheels and just get the right ring for your car...

Why don't you get a 2 piece wheel and find a new correct "ring" for it. I think they can even be made out of Metal and be chromed out? Just get any style that is 2 piece no matter how wide it is. As long as you like it.
