Datsun 620 at the Norwalk/santa fe springs ecology yard. The dash is cracked but the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER in clean so get it. The chain cover is taken so are the windshields and doors. Head and some AC stuff there.

What you need to do is find a 1997-1999 Ford Windstar in the yard and pull out the rear cup holder from the rear passenger drivers side. It would look like this. Next remove the 620's ashtray and test fit that new Ford cupholder. Its a tight fit! But you can probably sand it down. Next you can do two things. Either you just make two holes in the plastic shown here and just screw it in place. Pray that it holds your 42 ounce drink in place and hope that you don't damage your dash. ORRRRR!!! Build this custom bracket using the stock Datsun holes and not damage anything. It can be removed later with out damaging anything so you can reuse your stock 620 ash tray. Made out of metal or aluminum? YAY!!!!!! NOTE: THIS IS MY IDEA. ANYONE CAN USE IT. BUT YOU BETTER NOT PROFIT FROM IT!!!!! ALSO I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU FUCK UP YOUR DASH BECAUSE OF ANYTHING!!!! Engine: L20b with SSS head, cannon intake and 32/36 weber carb. Suspension/brakes: Disk brake conversion front and rear. Lowered I believe 4 inch all around. Wheels: 18's Armada smoked. Exterior: HID's and his nice carbon fiber hood. "The first one made" :cool: He has been doing all the work himself. But he does need help. If some one can help him with his account. Please? You know what I would do? I would just take of the head and take it to get checked. Then arm it back together with a new gasket..... So when I get it. It would be in good shape! :lol: Nah for reals... First check to see if the chain is aligned correctly. 20 minute job... Then put her back together and fire her up. Also check that the chain is not hitting the thermostat bolt.

Cant you just get your old chain and count the distance between the markers and mark yours with a white out? Also look at the dimples? They could be different color "chrome"... The dimples too me are those metal lines that stick out on the side that holding the chain together.

I got a block with a fucked up one. There is more than enough room to do a helicoil... You have to take to cover off... I used one of these...
