  1. Ok, so... I had blinkers and brake lights, and they vanished. I have a new turn signal module and the fuses are still all solid. I recently wired in a new license plate light, but I just used a green wire from the old one and ran the new black lead to a new ground I ran to the frame holder. Suggestions? Comments? Trash talk? No wrong answers....
  2. That wood is the best thing I’ve seen on here in months.
  3. Interesting, I used the same hosting site that was used in the car porn thread. I guess I’ll switch to Flickr Let’s see if this test works
  4. I’ll have to remedy the photobucket issue.
  5. I’m back, I know, no one cares. Lol I’ll be posting pics soon.
  6. can you maintain control over the parts you're removing?
  7. What part? We're an open carry state, we permit concealed carry of firearms, and we allow mutual combat.
  8. Add some fucked up compensated barrel and you've got it. If you put "Black Ops" on your gun... I'm not buying it. I'm a simple guy, I don't need crazy, flashy shit on my duty carry.
  9. And it had the slide modified to accept this ludicrous barrel compensator.. It was just ridiculous. He clearly was trying to overcompensate. But... you know what they call someone who shoots a 70 at the range on their fifth attempt.... "officer"...
  10. Sorry Jeno, this is strictly not the case: "RCW 9.41.270 Weapons apparently capable of producing bodily harm—Unlawful carrying or handling—Penalty—Exceptions. (1) It shall be unlawful for any person to carry, exhibit, display, or draw any firearm, dagger, sword, knife or other cutting or stabbing instrument, club, or any other weapon apparently capable of producing bodily harm, in a manner, under circumstances, and at a time and place that either manifests an intent to intimidate another or that warrants alarm for the safety of other persons. (2) Any person violating the provisions of subsection (1) above shall be guilty of a gross misdemeanor. If any person is convicted of a violation of subsection (1) of this section, the person shall lose his or her concealed pistol license, if any. The court shall send notice of the revocation to the department of licensing, and the city, town, or county which issued the license. (3) Subsection (1) of this section shall not apply to or affect the following: (a) Any act committed by a person while in his or her place of abode or fixed place of business; ( b )Any person who by virtue of his or her office or public employment is vested by law with a duty to preserve public safety, maintain public order, or to make arrests for offenses, while in the performance of such duty; ( c )Any person acting for the purpose of protecting himself or herself against the use of presently threatened unlawful force by another, or for the purpose of protecting another against the use of such unlawful force by a third person; (d) Any person making or assisting in making a lawful arrest for the commission of a felony; or (e) Any person engaged in military activities sponsored by the federal or state governments. [ 1994 sp.s. c 7 § 426; 1969 c 8 § 1.]" http://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=9.41.270 You cannot open carry a sword or knife in Washington State. If ONE PERSON feels the least bit threatened, intimidated, or alarm by your blade, you've committed a Gross Misdemeanor. The only exception in public for a regular person outside their residence is "acting for the purpose of protecting himself or herself against the use of presently threatened unlawful Force by another... or.. a third person". You'll need to prove a reasonable and specific threat exists.
  11. Lol, you would think. This guy also carried the largest duty weapon I've ever seen, some kind of a custom Para Ordinance 1911 double stack. I wouldn't be surprised if he now carried that double barreled monstrosity. As you might assume, he was a terrible shot.
  12. The Beretta 92FS Compact is fine. It's a little smaller, and lighter. I'd say it's a good mix for an EDC. Sub-compacts are where you start to miss that extra barrel length. Shoot one, see if you like it, then pull the trigger. The 460 Smith is a beast... pull that trigger in the dark and it's bright as fuck. It's pretty much a safe trophy though because carrying one is very difficult. I did know another cop that carried a snub nose .454 Casull... which... fuck that. Good luck with a hi-point. Just remember, it ONLY works consistently during the commission of a crime.
  13. I've had several discussions about this, but here's the base root of this, Gen. John Pershing supposedly did this in about 1911 in the Philippines to the Moros. Now the report of this was in, I wanna say the Chicago Tribune in about 1927, and there is insufficient evidence that this occurred. #FakeNews Instead, Pershing had his men surround the Moros. The official story is Pershing captured them by claiming that Allah had made US Forces the Sword of Allah to punish them for not being proper Muslims. Basically that they needed to get their own lives in order before they could go out and convert the world to Islam. Putin reportedly uses this tactic as well. When the Russian special forces encounter Muslim extremist violence, it has been reported that they claim the victory was decided by Allah because the Muslims weren't true believers. I have not personally witnessed this behavior by Russian forces, but I have seen it used by the US.
  14. If they don't.... well... ...his name was Seth Rich.
  15. Or, they'll become the next place that's attacked
  16. That's what I did with the takedown that's pictured. It was under $300 for the rifle and Magpul sent me the stock, so I'm not out a lot. I bought three 25 rd mags, a Vortex 2-7x scope, rings, and like 900 rds off brownells for under $300. So I'm about $600 in and in probably two weeks I'll have it all setup ready to go
  17. Not only repetition of firing, but just literally carrying a .303 with enough ammunition to be combat effective.... hold 200 rounds of 5.56 in one hand and 200 rounds of .303 in the other... then dump them in a pouch, grab that .303 and go for a little walk across the lovely fields of France... for... I dunno... 9 months. Report back your findings. Spoiler alert... you'll be in much better shape. I'm going to patten this as the Patton Diet. That is something I've never seen before. I wouldn't modify that, I think it looks great just like that.
  18. I issued three warnings and the courts took it from there. The property was lawfully seized by the EPA and crushed in accordance with federal law. Or laws are just as bad, they're just randomly enforced. It's a bit like playing the long odds in Vegas, but if you get hammered with the fines, legal fees, and possible criminal citations here in Washington it's utter chaos. I've seen people actually have to serve time for a JDM engine swap... Actually authority for search and seizure is pretty straightforward. The EPA has full authority to enforce these laws, the penalties, civil forfeiture, and to take you to criminal court. Just like anyone else that's clearly in violation of federal regulations. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Before doing any engine swap in the United States, check federal, state, and local jurisdictions as even cities can have criminal codes against certain engine configurations. I only brought it up because I've seen too many people on the wrong side of this because they never looked into it. Not to shit on RW's thread. If you don't like it, pm me, block me, or contact the EPA and bitch at them. There's nothing I can do about it, I'm retired. That sucks mate, did you get it put back together? It's good that the under side is so clean, that'll save a lotta time on the whole process.
  19. Hook the boy up. You gotta get them tacticool leadslinging early.
  20. Jesus is a speed freak... laying down 11s.
  21. We have the same crap here in 'Merica. There's a small group of "emissions enforcement" federales that work for the Enviromental Protection Agency that can fuck you up. Engine swaps in the US must be same year or newer, and they have to be a USDM engine if the vehicle was made after 1972. If you do a swap you're supposed to have your vehicle evaluated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If you're caught without this, your vehicle is impounded, evaluated, seized, and crushed. I've issued fines in excess of $30,000 for this. I've also crushed everything from a 72 skyline to a brand new turbo diesel because of this shit. Most 'Mericans never look into it... and therefore don't know.
  22. But we have made significant changes to the manner in which the internal combustion engine operates. Look at the increased horsepower, fuel economy, reliability, user interface, aerodynamics, braking systems, suspension, traction control, and a long list of changes made to automobiles since 1890. You can literally interchange some parts on modern 1911's with guns from WWI. Nothing else is 100 years of backwards compatible. Also: “There is no need or reason why a person would need to purchase more than one gun a month,” the bill’s sponsor, Sen. Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge), said during the floor debate. According to gun control advocates, the concern is people who purchase multiple guns in a 30-day period are buying the firearms to sell on the black market via straw purchases." http://www.americanweaponscomponents.com/uncategorized/california-passing-another-round/
  23. They just need to adopt a piston cycled bullpup that's chambered in 5.7x28mm, .300 AAC Blk, .338 Lapua or .458 SOCOM. For their handgun, a .45 GAP or 5.7x28mm would get the job done faster and lighter, then for their compact SMG, the MP7 is fine. If some defense forces were to adopt the platform you'd be able to find ammunition. Science has evolved the art of shooting. The 9mm parabellum was designed in 1901, .45 ACP in 1905, 5.56x45mm NATO in 1959, 7.62x51 in 1951... seriously... it's flat ridiculous that we're still using these calibers when there are SIGNIFICANTLY better options available. Name something that was "better engineered" before the lunar missions. Don't get me wrong, the move from 7.62x51mm to the 5.56x54mm was a good call. Gen. Curtis LeMay observed that 22% of M14 shooters could achieve expert, while 44% of AR-15 shooters could do the same. Hit percentages on the battlefield were officially increased, although I find that hard to quantify as there's more than one reason to press a trigger in a fire fight. Personally I think the 5.7x28mm is a good option because it can be fired from a handgun or rifle. You lose velocity due to unburnt powder but it does some nasty work. I've treated more than one of these GSW's and I'm glad I never got hit with one. Perhaps someday soon we'll see the "cult of calibers" broken by people actually researching and using the ballistic evidence that's been compiled over the last 116 years.
