My first 2 smi tractors were corn pickers (too fast for the field, too slow for the highway) so I have a soft spot in my heart for them. I had no idea so many custom binders were ever built. When I get a chance, I will look for some pics to scan in. The second one I owned was a sleeper, was all white, so it looked like a company truck instead of a owner-operator rig, but it was too fast for the highwat, 98 mph top end in the 55 mph limit days. :thumbup: :rofl:

If you have a spot near your battery box where you can mount that summit switch and access it easily, I would put it there, Make sure the cable between the switch and battery is well protected with grommets and such. You could put it on the ground cable, but some systems, the alternator will still complete the circuit with no ground connected to the battery.

I wonder how many Chevy pickups the trashed making that show? At least it wasn't Dodge Chargers that would end up being worth big money as collectors items later on. :rofl:

If I remember right, you have to widen the dog house a little, one of the guys I used to hang with back in the 70s had a 302 in one. He didn't have any metal fab skills, so he built a wood cover to replace the dog house that looked like a coffin, looked crazy! Then there are the normal 6 to V8 motor mount issues. A straight 6 will never come close to a V8 rumble, just not the same!

Stock, but much more performance pieces for the 5.0, plus the cool sounds from headers and Flowmasters! :thumbup:

I hope you will put a disconnect switch on it in case the cable moves around in there enough to eventuelly rub through the insulation, that would be a nasty fire to try and put out.
