  1. If you are going to swap in a 4.3 you should look at the LV3 4.3. Basically a 5.3 LS engine with 2 cylinders removed, close to 300 HP in stock trim, and supposedly a little over 300 lbs dressed.
  2. I saw this crazy long bed in Beaverton today.
  3. Z Car Depot has these clips, I'm not sure if Z's use the same size rods. https://zcardepot.com/products/door-lock-rod-clip-240z-260z-280z?_pos=4&_sid=26ce805a5&_ss=r That lever you are looking for is called a pawl.
  4. I'm addicted to riding motorcycles. I mostly ride on the dirt with a couple modern bike, a Yamaha YZ250X, an a KTM 500 EXC-F. I also have a 1984 Yamaha RZ350 twin cylinder 2-stroke restomod street bike. It has modern front suspension from a 99' Yamaha R1 and a Yamaha FZ600 aluminum swingarm mated to a R6 shock. The engine is mostly stock with just a set of cambers, a pod air filter, and modern electronics for reliability. The frame has been detabbed and powder coated, but I still need to paint the bodywork, I'm going with the yellow and black Kenny Roberts livery. I've ridden the bike all over Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
  5. They are boxed up in my storage room, but I'm pretty sure they fit 13" rims.
  6. Cool, that's them. I've looked at other pics of 1600 GL models but the caps didn't have the "GL" insignia on them.
  7. A friend of mine brought me these hub caps from Japan about 20 years ago. Does anyone know what model/year Datsun they came off of?

    Fan controller

I installed that fan controller over a year ago and it's been awesome. The 10 second fan delay is really nice as it reduces the sudden load on the electrical system that was causing a drop in my RPM's when the fans all went on at once. I've used a couple of the Hayden controller in the past, but they both burned up after a few years.
  9. I wouldn't try to remove that ported vacuum switch if it's not being used, and it doesn't like it's in use since one of the barbs is snapped off and I don't see any vacuum hoses going to it. Trying to remove the old one could be a huge pain in the ass, and it doesn't look like its been leaking coolant at all. Save the money you would spend on a new switch and buy a battery hold down kit to replace that tarp strap holding your battery down. You don't want a battery flying around in the engine compartment when that tarp strap breaks. https://www.amazon.ca/xbrtaia-battery-Aluminum-holder-Battery/dp/B0CTFDJPHH/ref=sr_1_9?crid=3MPRQIZY01BUR&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.972FVe_ivD7TkhQiwtKgdSurOCPFD0hfFioYaRxiMCTB1guna-JqzvdwkSYht3EFbH-Ssv0g7XY-sKwdsRQqaNn29rrBJEjgznO9ym3hAV3Ek-nl9HmcFZ1H7aFsyhWNGeCvgwxet_y2vBl6dXmygD42LmZtDANJmXqblTjpPXPDOqYAcCN4sSwTbKNmBFlY5mlbt_rv_WVq4o1DZbCBhALOmB-uR2OypmUxu4r1DQgEyoegq_2bE5Y3V5nUr1T44zG7aAtXV9yPbIlQV0L4DFRzrGL5cSQSpUFLMZtN2TY.CuTsemvdkb136OqwR1X-GbBd_mIpOz2WBsSu7zOSihk&dib_tag=se&keywords=battery%2Bhold%2Bdown&qid=1717468039&sprefix=battery%2Bhold%2Caps%2C173&sr=8-9&th=1
  10. How did it run before the 123 and carb swap?
