They seemed to be in good shape and I am not getting any pull from that side of the truck while braking or not. I have had the work done for about a month now and it drives and brakes perfect but the one side is always warmer. My IR thermometer says about 30f hotter like I mentioned and as well as I can focus it it does seem to be more in the disk brake and caliper.

UPDATE!
I just did a full rotor, bearing, and hub replacement with the AVM hubs from the link provided. The hubs looked great out of the box and felt solid. It was a super easy swap, the only issue that cropped up was the hex cap bolts from the stock hub are too long and you need to get shorter ones. Other than that, they installed fine and seem to be working perfectly! One thing that is curious to me is that one of my wheels/hubs is consistently hotter than the other. I think this could be from me not backing off enough after the preload torqueing the spindle nut? It could also be from inconsistencies with the new brake pads? There is a 30f difference in temp on the wheel/hub after a 30minute drive. One is 130f and the other is around 160f. Here are some pictures from the installation.

Just my 2 cents but I find it incredibly easier to pull the engine and transmission out as a unit, rather than wrestle it past the torsions bars if that is even possible or remove the torsion bars. I have heard it is possible to reach up and swap the clutch after pulling the transmission back, but uhg!

For a while in the last couple years on craigslist there have been multiple ads about what looked to be beautiful re-built transmission out of Elma, Washington. I have not seen them for a while though. I have several cores that I would love to donate and I am looking for a rock solid re-built transmission also. Does anybody know if that person is on Ratsun?

I thought that was Spocks line as he died from Warp core radiation in Wrath of Khan. Which episode/movie is the source of this meme?
Same movie, its near the beginning when Spock offers to let Kirk take over the ship to investigate the communication from the scientists of the genesis project. Also why it is so poignant when he evokes it again after saving the ship by sacrificing himself.

I had an 84' 4x4 with an engine that was TIRED, all stock with really bad compression numbers... Strapped a weber on, put 2" exhaust, got rid of the cat, direct wired it and it still got me across 6 states on a trip at over 70+mph

I have been following this thread and you are not the only one to say that their z24 is underwhelming. I am very curious as to how the many many z24's and 720's are different. My 85' 4x4 with a weber 32/36 rips ass! I was doing an easy 75 on my way home from work yesterday and could hit 90+ easy if I goosed her. I have the exact same tire size as well. Nothing special done to my engines besides direct wiring them as I showed earlier. I do have 2" exhaust with a resonator and no muffler.

84/85 manual locking hubs advice

New pads on new rotors. When I got home from work today, (same trip distance) both hubs were in about 10f of each other. Maybe I am just over thinking things but for the most part one wheel/hub is notably warmer than the other and it caught my attention.
