Got the Steering shaft tube redone and some stainless hardware. Even slid the firewall grommet on just to be sure.

Seats are almost done. I love the color, its going to make the interior pop, while outside looks subtle.

I just wanted to say that I lied about the LHD drag link working. If you were stock height then I think it would but when flipped all wrong on geometry when car is on ground and you get major bump steer. Fixed it with a proper RHD drag link.
Did you guys notice the emblem. It’s for a coupe rear but to me it looks at home. Also I did not paint the bezels inserts but I like the chrome as well. I restored that grill for half what I paid that SSS restorations and way better job.

Changed the look up on the front end of the wagon. The SSS restoration grill I just sold because it was a shitty job of a restore. This one I did myself for way less money, still need to paint the black on bezels, but maybe I won't either. Love the chrome.
Im out on this. I hate repopulated crap for the rare items. Rubbers panels and other stuff but im not in to re-pops. And as for the center trim there was just one for sale but I did not buy it as I did not need it.
Wow man sorry to hear about the health, I pray for you and a speedy recovery.
Now as for your idea please don't do it. Its your truck yes, do it if you feel good about it, How ever the idea would be is turn the bottom section below the bed as a roll pan and run vett lights there. It would be much cleaner and for if if future sell of truck, easier to convert back to stock.
Beautiful truck, I do agree with DP those mirrors are sop mounted in the wrong place. But holes are drilled already so either plugs or body and paint. Oh well. Like the other guys said drive it and enjoy it. Dont I repeat do anything I would do.
