Yeah no kidding, I was watching them and really surprised they sold for only $305, and man they look SO great! That's the risk you take unfortunately. Oh well...win some lose some.

Not sure why anyone's getting bent about them using the DATSUN name on lower priced, less well-appointed cars, they will be in fact only be using the name in emerging markets like China and India and similar countries. You'll never see any 'hipster' driving one so no chance of confusing anyone as to what we drive, basically you'll never see one of the 'new' Datsuns unless you happen to be on travel to those countries or of course see pictures of them on the internet. Think of it this way, Nissan will likely build small cars (the Tato Nano car comes to mind) but as Nissan they're not know for building those types of cars so why not build it under the Datsun name, less risk on their Nissan brand if they are not well recieved. Makes sense to me.

If you're swapping just the lens, you can but like I said the trim won't seat correctly. Mine was like that when I first got it...until I replaced the lens that is.

You can but the metal housing that holds the plastic lens in place will not hold it perfectly, so rain may get in there...but you're in AZ so you probably don't have to worry about that too much!

That's correct, it wasn't until 69 when they had them and they were round for 69 only, then the rectangles for 70-73.

Let's not scare him off Drew, besides the tail lights, the grille, the dash, rear bumper, and the wipers which are the only 68 only things I can think of off the top of my head but he can always swap any year grille, open up the tail light openings to get newer ones to fit, 69 dash is also interchangeable in it, and any year rear bumper can be swapped on, so besides those dame exposed wipers there isn't that much that is hard to get if he had to. BTW, congrats Unkeday on a sweet (rare) find!
