I guess that kind of depends on what you consider a pillar. Normally it is an uninterrupted piece of metal in between two pieces of glass with bracing for the roof. (FYI, Yes a separation in a split rear window is also a pillar.) Really didnt want to drag on a conversation on what a hardtop actually is. Just saying in passing. They are still hardtops because the rear window rolls down uninterrupted from the front. But they have 6 pillars total, 3 per side. Its pretty damn cool that they are a 3 pillar hardtop imho. Since I have never been in a B210 hatch back, I am going off of assumption here, but if that small black piece in the back between those two pieces of glass has any support member for the roof inside of or behind it, then yes, actually B210 do have an A, B, C, and D pillar.

Really? Well what do you call that thing in front of the rear side windows, and behind the rear roll down windows?
  3. Lmfao^ And there is magic coming out of it, thus confirming what we have all speculated for some time now. McLaren cars are made of magic and wizardry!!.
  4. Yeah, gloves, and a respirator. Its not the brakleen that is the problem, its the way we prepare for it.

Technically it isnt a hard top, even though it is for all intents and purposes. A true "Hard Top" doesnt have a "B" pillar. Its still a hardtop to me, but Im just saying, for political correctness and whatnot.
  6. Well which car's suspension is worst, lol.

http://odessa.craigslist.org/cto/4167991190.html Looks to be in not great condition. Not sure on the rust though. I would love to do one of these. Love me some hardtops. (though it isn't technically a hardtop)
  8. I am not sure the status of each of your cars. How low are you tryin to go? Tokico illuminas are good shocks.
  9. wow, I want that so bad. But I got no durrs.
  10. Curved upholstery needles are fun.

  11. My not very smart significant other ran our car on fully hot for a few minutes. Should I be worried? Aluminium block and head)

  12. Don't blame Leno, there were complete crack head morons WAAAAAY before he mentioned 510s lolololol.
  13. MrFreezy came by last night and helped me install the rear glass. It wasnt too bad actually. First this video helped (I watched this on TV when I was a kid, never thought it would come in handy) Everything they say in that video is fully applicable to this job, its the same way, just a little tricky around the corners, remember to push down and move the glass until it seats. Pictures of the back glass after I put the seal on. We installed it with me inside pulling on the cord inside the lip, slowly, and then very carefully around the edges. DO NOT force the cord around the corner. I pulled the corners up with a combination of my fingers and the cord. I pushed the bottom of the seal around the lip as well and kept straightening out the outside lip so it went around the body smoothly. all in all it was not too bad, easier than I thought it would be honestly. Now I have to install the chrome trim in this little lip. that looks almost less fun than the rest of the window.
  14. Good info man, I will try that in the back area.
  15. Anyone have any great ways, or things to use to clean an Evaporator core?

  16. Thanks man, It is fully installed and glued in now. I installed the trim seals on teh edges as well. I ended up using the smaller trim edge seal as the pinch weld was a bit wide in a few places. I will get some more pics up soon. It looks even better now that its a bit tighter, and once the rear glass is in it will be perfect. I am working on installing the rear window with the cord trick. So, mucho updates will be coming soon.
  17. Should I install my carpet or my rear windshield first?

Yeah thats kind of what I was thiking too, although it is like a 510 rear glass with the cord and shit. But I dont wanna be pushing the carpet all around with my shoes either and fooking it all up.

Well yeah, thats why I am installing a seal. I wanted to know what I needed to put in first. I figured it out though.

  18. We should call her "Butterscotch Betty"
  19. new sunroofs, headliner, carpet......soooon..

  20. MEK would probably work, Goof Off works, but you need to be careful, as the Goof off evaporates quickly and can end up spreading the gunk around. I am having to remove a few small bits from my headliner inside.
  21. DAMN, whos Z is that with the insane turbo intake.
  22. I am in the process of putting the headliner in. I clipped all the edges in the car together with binder/file clips, and got them tight. then I cut holes and mounted the stuff on the roof, like the visors, the rear viwe mount, the dome light, sunroof switch, and the hole cover for the manual operation handle. I then used 3M8090 to glue it in starting with the part attached to the sunroof tub (it wraps around the lip) I let it dry overnight while it was being held together with 53 file clips. Then in the morning I removed the file clips. The glue was almost completely dry, so I installed the trim edge seal. I have not installed the roof yet. I just pulled the finisher panel forward to show what the end result will be.
  23. Wow, that is sexy, do I see an Aston Martin emblem?
  24. That name is honestly what will hurt the site in the long run. Maybe not, but I imagine that an guy in Kuwait, or Australia, or Japan, or Germany is not going to likely be as enthusiastic to join a site with a name exclusive to one part of a country (a country that most other countries dont really like for that matter) Ratsun, on the other hand may have originally been mainly active in the north west, But that is no longer the case. Ratsun's name is not exclusive to anywhere, or any counrty. Rat is the same in any language, there fore Ratsun...., you follow? If it was called "NWRatsun" it wouldnt have the traffic here that it does.
  25. True, true, point taken. This just recently happened though on another site I am on and it was frowned upon. so I was not sure the proper forum etiquette here. You are right, there are alot of links to other datsun sites here. I was not aware that the NW didnt stand for NorthWest.
