  1. Gettin low, gettin low..... With THAT kind of hood clearance, can anyone guess where my intercooler will be? Turbo clearance: Belly shot: LOTS of cast pan room. One of the next steps will be fab'ing up a new x-member that will house the LCA mounts and steering rack. Pau for now. -Brian
  2. I keep forgetting my camera. Well, got some work done today and those that have good imagination can picture what's going on. :fu: So both right and left motor mounts are built and are 90% done. I need to get tubing to sleeve the bolt hole where it mounts the motor bracket. Also need to pick up bolts for the frame mount. They look pretty good. Tomorrow I should be able to remove the mounting jig (wood and a scissor jack. Hahahaha) and let the motor sit in there by itself. Oh, and we test fit the T28 in there. Its a close fit, but looks dead fuggin sexy in there. I forgot to look to see what kind of room I have for steering linkage though. Oh well. Tomorrow will see. -Brian Pics soon. I promise. :D
  3. Check your local areas. I know the Tualatin/Sherwood location is participating. Anyone up for going Saturday? I'll be there probably around 11am. -Brian
  4. Sup Clayton. Not too much to report. Hawaiians dont like cold or rain. :) Got some work done today though. Finalized the motor mount design. Its really low profile to help with clearance of the steering linkage, UCA mounts and turbo. Clearance wouldn't have been an issue, but I wanted the motor as low as I could get it. I'll get pics up later. -Brian
  5. Pretty sick. Dood probably posted for $14K cuz he dont really want to sell. :) I'm trying to look at what he did to the exh manifold. He doesn't mention a turbo upgrade which means its still a T25 flange (maybe). I haven't seen a top mount T25 flanged manifold and I kinda could use one. -Brian

    parts?

The 521 rockers should be a close enough fit for the 520. Probably easier to find a 521 donor then a 520....around here at least. Good luck. -Brian
  7. Damn dood. This is why I stay my ass at home. Too much drama. A very good friend of mine did a 10yr stretch because of some bar drama. -B
  8. Got all your leafs still? That kind of situation is the biggest reason i haven't touched mine. You never know when you're going to need capacity capability. Nice haul. -Brian
  9. Yup. Do you have 'milkshake' in the oil cap?
  10. Eey. Speaking of which. Do you guys meet at Ava's still or at R/R? I drove around (like a loser) to both places Saturday and didn't see anyone. The R/R lot was sooper crowded, but I didn't see any rides I recognized. Is this turning more into a Meet & Eat instead of the intended Meet & Greet? -Brian
  11. Woohoo! I can go this week. Anyone else?
  12. Lemme know if you're going. I might be working on the truck so I'll be right down the road from the Tigard Pull-It.
  13. Dood. You're more then welcomed to borrow my engine hoist. Not going to need it any time soon. Gotta come get it though. Hillsboro, OR. PM me if interested. You can grab it Saturday and hit the Portland meet after! -Brian
  14. Holy crap. For reals? Can U imagine a mid-engine SR swap in there? How much does it weigh?
  15. Don't know what this is, but I like it...
  16. This weekend 50% sale. I heard its 14th-16th. I might go Saturday. -Brian
  17. Do me one favah. Go crack that foo in the head for me fast kine. People that let cars sit forever then all of a sudden decide to sell for bank need to be put in a pen w/ hungry Badgers. -Brian
  18. Ummmmmmm......why, in all that is holy and good, is doods A$$ hanging out??!?!?!?!! "DOOD! That TR3 finish is smoother then a babies butt!" "R'ly? Lemme check......BRB." Hahahahaha! -Brian
  19. Believe me, I'm spending every weekend working on this puppy and am shooting for Canby. LOTS of work though. I don't really even consider it started yet. If it does make it to Canby, we can terrorize the streets of Canby a little. ;) Tryin to beat Karl. ;) Hahahahaha! Ground/hood clearance: I got a good bit of hood clearance, but I really want the center of gravity low. I am contenplating a belly plate to protect the motor. Steering: Steering rack choice? Not sure yet. Probably a 200SX. Works well on the dime and the truck is actually slightly wider in track width then a dime. Should work. Isolators: Not sure yet. Driveline: One piecer! :) Screw that carrier bearing crap. I need to grab a driveline from Andrew Drummond then go shopping for a slip yolk. Other stuffs: None of the other stuffs have been decided on yet. It is going to be initially run NA for tuning and break-it. This is Mark's motor and has zero miles on it. :) Thanks for the complements guys. I'll keep this updated as best as I can. I need to remember to take my camera to the shop. My phone takes grainy assed photos. -Brian
  20. Thanks. It won't have any traction, but that'll make it more the funner. Yes, I said "funner." Cheeeeeeeeeehoooooooooooooo! -Brian
  21. Not this week. Gotta work tomorrow night. Next week can. My wife has to work next Saturday and I'm off. -Brian
