Man my state is hillbilly as fuck then, lol. Not only no emissions but we voted to remove our state inspections on cars. I've seen cars with flashlights duct taped in place of headlights.

what drives me up the wall on any of the ads I place is I'll put something like "CAR CAN NOT BE DRIVEN" and one of the first things asked is.. Can I drive it?

have a dwell meter? edit: if you have an electronic ignition in your dizzy a dwell will be worthless :lol:

As for the fire, I'm still not sure what happened.. I had my spark just up and vanish, I pulled over and tried to start it.. still no spark.. I gave up, swapped back to points I had spare and when I tried to start it I saw smoke and was like "Oh fuck!". I burned my fingers when I yanked the wire off the fuel line before it managed to melt the line.. Still unsure on what it was but I just know it not only burnt my points but the computer with the ignition system I had.. :huh: I guess I should have practiced more common sense and not have grabbed smoking and burning wires.. but it was a choice between my beetle going up in smoke fast (once it would have melted the fuel line I'd have had some serious trouble) or risk burning myself. I'm still trying to figure out how the wiring even got close to the fuel line in the first place...

:P that is at least one thing that isnt expired in my VW or broken, the fire extinguisher. :lol:

I'll try but my cellphone cam sucks for close up pictures I did, but they decided to catch fire for some reason along with the optical ignition.

new points and condensor are here, just installed them and the bug is running again!

it is a nice 54 degrees with a 3mph wind from the south. :lol: Luckly its not due to rain tell thursday here. I'm taking things lightly on this, sure it sucks but at least I have internet, though I did about set the car on fire by mistake and gave my hand a nasty burn on 3 of my 5 fingers.

Well to make a short story even shorter my new ignition computer crapped out on me on my bug and stuck me by the side of the road, I'm awaiting new points and condenser to be dropped off so I can get my bug running again. Managed to get the car into a parking lot, but having to wait about 30 minutes or so for the parts... Thank goodness for 3g wireless internet.

Not to highjack the thread... but I've noticed most everyone paints their cars like US planes... I've been tinkering with painting mine like a Japanese fighter, though I did find that there is a Mitsu X painted like a Zero. I found this scheme I like a lot and thinking that plus this Add in a sidepipe and you have yourself quite the Fairlady.

The Skylines before Nissan bought them out was made by Prince Motors like 72240z says but also some japanese cars did carry the Datsun tag.. Like the original Fairlady (roadster)

should be interesting to see, I'd be interested in one for sure if someone made them... I'd like to get ahold of Rose auto to see if they sell the bodywork as a kit.. but my japanese isn't very good lol

How about a late 280zx or even just the 300zx, they are new enough to not be fully trashed but old enough not to cost an arm or leg.

Of course it is! :lol: I also mix a little into my gas on my vw to help with carbon and lubrication in the fuel as they frown on me pulling up to the leaded pumps for tractors.

I shoot some MMO into any unran engine and let sit a while before I try to fire it, little hard to get the first fire but I don't have much issue with rings or such

Would probably be the city, I dont see why it wouldnt hurt to ask and find out... They don;t want street racing right so they might consider it so why not try to put together something legal...
