  1. I agree! I have been watching this unfold and still have not seen any good reasons for the insomnia threat to be stopped. It was a thread created by "Active" members, it was full of SPAM, yet extremely entertaining, and was filling a void for the extreme nut-cases that inhabit this forum/way of life. I am not sure but if it was on top when it was locked, if it was then it obviously had not run its course. I will look in the rules to see what the criteria needs to be met for threads to be killed. I do not see how a thread like this could be considered a bad thing. Sounds too simple to work, but if you dont like the SPAM and wierd crap that is spewed into the insomnia thread...dont go all clickey, clickey, on it, on it. There are plenty of threads that are WAY more dead that that one. P.S. I Love Puncuation
  2. Thanks for all the info! I have yet to fix it cause I have it jumped to a toggle and am using an old crappy batt. But now it makes sence!
  3. It is an internally regulated alt. I thought that it was the alt but I swapped it out with a good one and when the wire is jumped it charges like a mo-fo, so I know it is good. It is my understanding that both of the wires on the T connector should be powered when the car is running. I put the wire on a spare toggle that was already run for the old driving lights. And I turn it on and off so I dont blow the Batt, it was squeaking a little after driving from tac-town. I really need to know where the fuseable links are and where the white/red wire at the alt comes from. Do I gotta tear my dash appart or what? Me Confused!
  4. The Alt over charges when I jump the wire that is the I of the T shaped connector. The Batt light is on when the wire is not jumped. I have been studying my haynes manual and have found that the dead wire goes to the batt light? I have never claimed to be any good at wiring. There is supposedly a fuseable link box somewhere, but I cant find it. Please help. At this point I have the dead wire hooked up on a toggle so to not drain the batt but it is way overcharging!
  5. The Pumpkn quit charging. I changed the alt for a good one I had lying around. Didn't fix it. There is a two wire plug that goes into the back of the alt in a T formation. I got power on one of them with the key on. I seem to remember that they should both have power when the car is running. I ran a hot wire to it and it is charging now. My question is this: Is there a usual thing that this is and do you guys know where that wire goes to? I gotta go get a manual for the diagram but if you guys know where it goes I could prolly fix it without paying for a Haynes book of crap and try to find a Factory Repair Manual.pdf.

  9. Been BLASTING around sideways in the pumpkn for a week now! All four newish studded snows on steelies! Put the set of mags in the trunk for ballast but had to take them out cause it was plowing too much. put the chains on for a little bit this morning, had to take them off, too much traction! The hills by my house are tons of fun! 4in of powder sprays a nice rooster tail sideways at 5000rpm in 3rd. There is a 5 lane wide 3/4mi long road behind the fred meyer wearhouse with a wicked S-turn at one end. Been using a tank of gas and a quart of oil a day. Its about as much fun as you can have with your cloths on! With a little added traction(ie snows, studs, chains, balast) anyone worth thier weight in old risty datsun parts should be able to drive in this stuff No Problem!

  18. Well the show is this weekend, and I cant wait! The fair is on now so if you can, avoid downtown. The best way from up north is to take merge onto 512 from 167 and get off the freeway at the top of the hill. At the south hill mall exit then follow the directions from olympia from there. If I can make it any more confusing let me know!:D
  19. The directions are kinda off. You turn right on 19th and go to the top of the hill. The house is on the left. Im looking forward to seeing you all there!
