That reminds me, I still need to find out what the thread size is for a Dogleg 5 speed. That's what's going into my truck. I don't have the shift lever that goes to the dogleg, & I hear the 521 shift lever won't work with a dogleg.

That shift know will be going into this 521, which should also be "debuting at Canby this year. I've been working on it for a few years now.[/url

Harlow, yes I still have the old wheels, they were a mismatched set of old chrome moons. The chrome is flakey,& They're rusty too. They're in the back of my truck still though.

If someone else wants it,& can afford to buy it first, no worries. I'm a little low on funds at the moment. Hopefully that's a temporary thing, which is why I was hoping Dime Dave would be offering the same style , preferably as a fund raising item, again after this batch of shift knobs is gone. Dime Dave, are you going to be offering these shift knobs for sale/donation again? I would like to have one, but I'm waiting on either getting hired from one of the job applications I have turned in, or on my unemployment to do anything.

Those shift knobs are Awesome, great way to raise $ for this truck too. I will need a shift knob for my truck anyway, so this is a great opportunity. I have to get a shift lever also for the dogleg 5 speed that I'm putting in my truck, will these knobs fit that shift lever? I'd probably buy a white one, unless you decide to offer them in a jade green in addition to the other colors you posted above.

Awesome news! I need several of those seals. Also, I had heard the cargo area window seals,& the rear hatch Window seal were unobtainable. Thinking about getting those just in case.

I was wondering about the exhaust system being in the way on my 521, now I know to watch out for that.

I bought a set of 720 4x4 leaf springs for this truck quite awhile ago, plus new bushings,& a 2" lowering block kit.

It needs a complete engine. It blew a head gasket, & while the head was being resurfaced, her Dad passed away suddenly. Nobody went & picked up the head (I checked with the shop, it's gone),& it's been moved a few times. Alot of the brackets& various parts that bolted to the head & block are missing now. If anyone runs accross a Mitsubishi 2.6 4cyl, that is for sale at a reasonable price, please let me know. Thanks!

Just got back from Shawn Drawdy's place. Tonight we pulled the old engine out, transmission is next, then we'll start working on installing the 520 driveline, & the dogleg 5 speed.

Love that old BSA! I don't know if my wife will let me bring her Honda Dream out of storage. It was her late Father's. We have his old truck too. She was definitely "Daddy's little princess", he passed away suddenly something like 15 years ago. She's still pretty broken up about it, as you can imagine. We'll be hauling these things with us for the rest of our lives. Any help finding the parts to get them going again is greatly appreciated!

I just rescued my truck from a similar situation. It had been stored so far from my place, that I rarely had time to do anything with it. I'm sure all the projects you listed above, & many more will start seeing activity as soon as Thier owners can manage it. Don't lose hope!

I had hopes of debuting this truck at Canby LAST year, but no such luck, same thing with Blue Lake last year. If all goes well I'll have it ready for Canby this year.

I finally had a chance to get some pictures of my wife's motorcycle. It was her Dad's & no she'll never sell it, plenty of people have asked. It's a Honda 150 Dream. I don't know what year, but it sure looks COOL!

One of our fellow Oregon Datslocos members , James Stone & his wife want to have a BBQ type event at Thier place in Tillamook in March. This would be a great opportunity for a fun run from the other areas of Oregon too! Joe Yantis & I went out there Saturday, and while it was raining, windy, etc. It still was a nice drive. March weather would likely be better. There is plenty of parking, & covered area in case it isn't sunny. What do youfolks think? Sound good? - Loren

I like Shawn Drawdy's Truck. It's WAY MORE work,& customization than I am capable of though. Mine will be a daily driver, so for me, the "respect the patina" motto will rule the styling influence.
