  1. finally got the emblems i created back. since 210 side panel emblems are hard to come by i created a 3d file in maya and had it printed on a 3d plastic printer. got them vacuum metallized in chrome. and here's the result! before after
  2. Are you only selling the window cranks as a set of 4? I'd like to get just 2. PM'd again.
  3. Thanks. Thought so but didn't want to put in wrong info. Figured one of you all would know for certain :)
  4. Pick-A-Part in Ontario, CA '81 Z, '78 (didn't catch the model) and an '81 210 (I molested this one a little. If had been a 2-door it would've been molested a lot.)
  5. What's the address of the yard you spotted the 210s in? Would like to know please.
  6. If you see an '80-'82 210 sedan (square headlights) in a yard somewhere in LA or Inland Empire area HOLLA!

  7. I purchased these from ebay mainly for the grommets for my 210. The knobs actually fitting would've been a bonus but they don't. I have 2 sets. Selling as a pair for $5 shipped anywhere in the contiguous United States. If you're interested hit me up. SOLD
  8. i can't say how many there are unfortunately. I got it at everythingnissan.com. The part number is 34920-P4928. It's $64.98 plus shipping but for a new knob I took it. Helps if you have part numbers. Parts guys at Nissan are generally too lazy to bother helping but I found someone at the Nissan near me who is extremely helpful in giving me part numbers. I stumbled on this site by chance: http://www.japancars.ru/cat/nissan/index.php?x=GB2&cat=260&pn=3,4,11,12,27,28,29,30&gi=F&sec=349. It's some russian site but has part numbers for all the automatic shift parts. I wish I could find a place that listed all interior parts for the 210.
  9. Which pick a part (address please) and is it a true 1980 as in round eye headlights or square ones? I'd like to pull body parts if there still are some. I've been after 210 parts and I always just miss them when I go to the yards.
  10. Check that: Mike at Retro Radio. I just double checked my notes. Got the wrong Mike listed. Updated above post. Call him at 717 367 1428. I also updated the url.
  11. i found a brand new auto shift knob from nissan. was in black <_< but just had it painted brown along with all the other parts i've found that were either blue or black. it's all coming together
  12. finally got the dash parts i got from vex210 painted brown. they came out really nice. i'll post pics once it's all been put together. stanley's dash is completely apart right now. hoping to get the 1/4 panel emblems i had made soon. a friend of a friend is doing them as a favor so i'm not complaining about how long it's taking. they were vacuum metallized last weekend. can't wait to see them. i'm hoping soon. before after (along with some auto consoles i found and had to have painted) didn't think it was necessary to paint the areas no one will see. save a little money :)
  13. Hi Angela, I had emailed a few places about conversion but most of them only do American radios and not Japanese ones  I did chat with Cliff at Western Wireless which Z chopper told me about. He sounds really knowledgeable and said that if the radio wasn't large enough that he would have to extend the case so you'll want to find out how much space you have behind your dash just in case that needs to happen. I also spoke with Mike at Mike Hagan Antique Audio who said he's getting new boards that are smaller so he may not have to extend the case. Regardless of who you go with you can plan on spending in the neighborhood of $400. I haven't gotten to rewiring the radio I've got yet. I can do a lot of things with the car but I'm not going there. If all works I should only need to add a switch to it so I won't have to throw down so much for a conversion. But at least it's an option and you get new parts :) I had also found a few how to's online. I'm no wiring wiz so I'm not going to try it. But here's some links if you're interested as well as links to the two guys I mentioned. Give em a call and chat with them so they know what you got. Cliff at Western Wireless (He's in Canada but has an Idaho address you can send the radio to. He's an hour from there and picks it up.): http://www.westernwireless.ca/ Mike at Retro Radio (he's in Pennsylvania): http://www.retroradio.biz/contact.html Here's some how to's I've found: http://www.311s.org/...orDatsunClarion http://datsun1200.co...Aux_Input_Radio http://www.roadrunne...&t=3217&start=0 Good luck! Kimberly
  14. If you're wanting a stock radio to use as is or have converted I'm also open to offers if you're interested in this one.
  15. Pick a Part in Monrovia, CA 4 or 5 Zs. I lost count. Guess I'm always surprised at the amount of Zs in the boneyards. Mostly 280s. I believe one of them was a 200. There were 3 pick ups. They looked like 70s models. I know they had a '74 in there.
  16. I acquired this radio/cassette player to convert but ended up finding an AM/FM radio with a 5-pin DIN I'm going to rewire for iPod usage. Radio works just not sure about the tape player. Probably needs new belts. I'm asking $45; does not include shipping. Photobucket is being a bastard and I couldn't get the photo of the back of the radio to upload. I'll keep trying. Radio dimensions are 6.25"W x 5.5"D x 1.875"H. Radio posts are 5.125" apart. Holla if you're interested :) Kimberly Edit: finally tricked Photobucket into uploading the back. SOLD
  17. found this by accident in a random search for 210 parts. this place has a lot of nos they acquired and looking to sell at pretty good prices for many different models. just make sure you double check the part numbers to their descriptions. they tried to identify what the part was but may not necessarily be correct (they do have a disclaimer to this effect). and you may even want to check the part against the photo if there is one just to be on the safe side. http://www.oem-surplus.com/nwp/partslist.htm
  18. I feel ya. No one needs drama. I leave that to the actors here in LA. I don't argue much with Stanley either. Besides his way of winning arguements is staying silent (ie not starting). I swear that car has attitude sometimes. It's comical.
  19. And I think putting bras on cars is even more gross.
  20. Ha! I like that, the champ. My 210 is Stanley and my Pathfinder is Thadeus. I don't know how that came about. The name just pops up when I get a car. My dad always bought Datsuns (easy to fix and very reliable) but when one of them would act up he'd call it the old boy. So I can't say if it's because I'm female that my cars are male or cause my dad started labeling them that way. If the gf doesn't treat you right get a new one. Honey life is too short. Lord knows Stanley has been more reliable than most bf's I've had (except the one I have now). But I think he feels I may love Stanley more. He just may be correct but I'll never admit it....to his face :)
  21. My 210 is at the 214xxx mark and still going. Was my daily driver for a long time before I got another car to keep him (yes my car is a him) from getting hit. People in LA can't drive! He only left me on the side of the road once and that was 22 ago. Alternator went out. Thank goodness Datsuns are small. I was able to push him to the side of the road. Had a rebuilt engine put in somewhere around the same time but can't remember the mileage. Now I only take him out once in a while. Lot of sentimental value tied up in that car. If someone hit him I'd go to jail for murder. But take care of your Datsun and your Datsun will take care of you. Best little cars ever.
  22. Haha! I was going to say when I sent them that it may look like it was packaged by someone with a slight case of OCD. But being that I have a 210 and I know how difficult it is to find parts I wanted to make sure they got to you unmolested. I debated about putting fragile on there. Thought it might give the post office incentive to play football with the box. Glad they arrived in one piece. Cheers! Kimberly
