  1. Both you and tyler... I need to finish my brake set up and get my dime in there for an alignment check!
  2. Thanks that's awesome!!!! Interesting that he tops out around 85mph.... Hmmmmmm
  3. Quick update... Was away for the weekend and going away on business tomorrow ... Not as far along as I'd like but just haven't had time Took a while to find these adapters.... Only flying Miata had them... I guess they get the custom made... 1/8-27 npt male threads to m10x1 female threads. Let's me use the stock 510 lines ( mind are upgraded to stainless braided) directly into the wilwood caliper. Got a spare set just in case. Rotor mounted up... Was shorted some washers so had to go pick some up... Picked up stainless ones . No instructions on mounting so had a few emails back and forth to figure it out. Also the rotor hat was a very tight fit on the hub used the torch to help it Mocked up
  4. Already running steel braided lines and s 7/8s master
  5. Yea I have noticed the falkens can take a while to warm up and they are pretty slick when cold… can't wait to really see how the handle. Hardest I've driven them was a fun run… never got to autox them Stoked for the wilwoods… had a few little issues… but should have em all worked out… the biggest being that the inlet to the caliper is 1/8x27npt and the 510 brake line is m10x1…. impossible to find that adapter… but flyingmiatas makes em
  6. I should be able to- maybe not my steelies .... But definitely some panasport
  7. Hmmmm having issues getting responses emailed too me,.. need to check my settings…. I think I'm gonna swap the 4.11 in… I need to pull this 4.44 apart again and try to shim it tighter… LSD is breaking too early... Haven't had mine on the track yet.. but have auto crossed it Ive got some big meat for tires… 205 x15 Falken azenzis… they barely fit… haven't driven them any harder then a fun run though so the track will be interesting… for autoX i had been running some tiny little 13" slicks, but the rubber compound is too soft to handle 20 minutes on the track As for suspension I am currently on some lowering springs and bilstein struts on shortened 510 struts up front. rear is a slotted crossmember… no clue of the alignment… need to go see busta for that one - Big ass sway bar up front and pretty large one in the back 280z or zx 5 spd… not really sure…. the gap between 4th and 5th is really small… matted to an L20... Currently running a 4.44 rear end… but will swab my 4.11 in. I have autoXed a 3.9 and 4,11 and its noticeably quicker with the 4.11. The 4.44 is kinda stupid… but really fun. Brakes I am currently running stock 510 stuff front and rear with porter field r4s pads and shoes… never had a problem on the street or autoX… although did push them a little far on the last fun run i did since i didn't know then roads... but…. I have DP racings 10.25 wilwood kit on its way so that will all change shortly
  8. Probably 100 ish for the 4.44… never had the car up much faster then 90 though… need to go do a pull just to find out. I was planning on putting the 4.11s in… i think the quickness of them out of the turns will out way the straights of the 3.9
  9. Blasphemy!!! No such thing as too many L motors.... Only a matter of time till one of us builds a full blown race motor
  10. Those who ran thunder hill last time- any of you remember what speeds you guys hit? need to start thinking about which diff to run… thinking the 4.44 is going to be too short and will probably swap in the 4.11 but figured i would check
  11. Working hard or hardly working over there??
  12. So 15s for street use to get the tire options and cruisability ... 13s for race use. Although I'll probably run these 15s at the track... The tires on my 13s are too soft
  13. It's mostly an auto x thing- Plenty of full slicks available since the formula ford cars run the same size, and they are cheaper... But mostly a small wheel/tire combo is lighter and accelerates faster.
  14. Committed to DP racing wilwood kit, placed the order today. Also ordered their steering box brace. Lots of pics to come in the near future
  15. Thanks Dave - I'd love to run your stuff but I'd really like to keep the option for 13s. Future plans include adjustable lower control arms and tcrods
  16. So tried the 200sx stuff on the 13s with a 10mm spacer and they still don't fit. ... So I think I'm going to stick with 510 stuff and a wilwood setup... Also for the bling factor.... 13s prob won't fit with the wilwoods either.... So I might be in the market for some new 13s ... Panasports would be awesome!! Will prob order brakes this week
  17. Im bumping up to either the DP racing Wilwoods or 200sx stuff... Don't want to run 280zx stuff as it won't fit my wheels and I don't want to narrow the track width up front. Just was curious if anyone had purchased these… mostly because I didn't believe they would fit… the details say they were vented
  18. hmmmm... 200sx stuff clears the 15"s with no spacer but not the 13s.. but with 510 stuff i need spacers... wilwoods or 200sx….. decisions
  19. Started to do some prep for comparisons... Looks like i already have shortened struts on the car. - guestimate measurements since the top of the strut housing has these at 13.5" based on feel. My other cut down struts I was going to use for coil overs are at 14"… pretty close Also looks like shaft clamps have been used for a while... The catch is I have some very tight fitment with my wheels….. this clearance is WITH 10mm spacers Since I know these fit… makes me lean more toward DP Racings Wilwood kit… catch is I want to do coil overs at some point and was planning on using shaft clamps… at least for dialing it in. From my measurements it looks like I need a coil over sleeve that is either less then 4" or about 8"… I believe t3's are 7" which might be just too short which will make the shaft clamp interfere with wheel/tire… need to call GC. Also going to order some shaft clamps tomorrow to use so I can test fit. Should have 510Ts 200 SX stuff tomorrow as well to continue test fitting. Oh yea- noticed this as well Is the nut/bolt supposed tot be centered on the spacer??? that spacer is definitely tight on the lower suspension components … and those joints definitely need some love...
  20. Man that's gonna look awesome
  21. Ahhh my head is spinning… too much time on Ratsun and the inter web... Pretty much have it narrowed down to either the DP Racing Wilwood kit w/ 10.25 vented rotors or S12 200sx stuff... Leaning toward the Wilwood set up. Its more expensive but sticks with my original plans with sticking with 510 struts… We will see though - 510T will be letting me borrow his 200sx stuff to do a test fit/comparison to see if they will work. Also with the Wilwood set up, I can run it with my current suspension set up that I am comfortable with, and won't have to do coil over fronts immediately and potentially end up with a miss matched suspension front and rear.
  22. I sent em a message. If they plan to have qualified instructors I might actually bump down to beginner as they can be quite helpful. Now I'm trying to decide on a brake setup.... 200sx stuff or DP Racing's wildwood kit, that will clear most 13s... Leaning toward DP Racing Oh yea order tow straps and some "tow arrow" stickers too
  23. Im thinking about shooting em a message... It sounds like they are really planning on changing this up for the beginner group. But they really don't say what… just don't want to get held back in a beginner group.
