    Quiz for 620 ers.

AFAIK, they were only in Japan, but I guess I was wrong! They are six lug, but I thought they were based on the 620's frame... Hey Jaime, does the 610 nose fit on the 620? Later KFD

    New 620 "Patch"

It wasn't the only year Poncho did that. The First-Gen Firebirds had the turned aluminum trim as well. Chrysler was actually seriously considering copying Pontiac's idea in their attempt to capture the Firebird/Camaro market when they were planning the E-body Barracuda and Challenger... Later KFD

I don't know if this car belongs to someone here, but I see this thing tooling around the Hermosa/Redondo Beach area. Anybody recognize this thing? Did anyone else notice the totally badass scooter behind it? I think its Italian! :P Also, does this nose fit on the 620, and is this thing the skyline elsewhere? KFD

  19. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! That is so rad! Can ya feel the reeeeeaaaaallll me, doc-tor? Can ya feel the me????
  20. Hey Datzen mike, got some trivia for ya, regarding the B-R/B engine line. Everyone and their mother argues that the 361 was the first "B" block motor. Not so! The 350 was the first 'B' motor, available in the '58 Savoy, Plaza, and Furys. A chevy 350 'Bago is something I have never seen. It was probably in the Brave, which I think was the smaller chassis. All the other ones I have seen had 413/440 power. Ya know, that big funny mopar motor with the goofy lookin' valve covers will also bolt in, considering that motor is based on the R/B 426 wedge... ...Also the 413 Max Wedge and industrial 413 had a few subtle differences, block wise, increased webbing in the mains (four bolts...HELLO!), thicker bearing journals, and so on... 21. Dammit, you beat me to it! As soon as I opened this thread I thought of that car! It lives at the Mobil in HERMOSA Beach that is tan in color. That car has been there for YEARS. I remember riding my bicycle by there as a kid in the early nineties and thinking that car was a far out space ship! It was still there last week when I was filling up the ape. One of my buds had one in high school that was yellow. I haven't seen that running around here in the south bay since she got rid of it. It had those crazy wheel covers on it that looked like a golf ball made of squares (if that discription works). Also, it is no mistake that the omni and rabbit look the same. They basically are. Someone also pointed out the VW casting underhood an O24. Chrysler (more specifically Alpine--Chrysler UK), was working closely with VW on developing this car, Alpine modified their version just a bit, basically so it wouldn't be a rebadged Volkswagen. Some of the Alpines also had Peugeot running gear as well! Later KFD
  22. Whoa! Who caught the mid-fifties Fairlane poverty caps on 'Brown Sugar'. Rad!!! On the ebay ad, the guy did doctor up the picture, and it does say 'It doesn't look like that but get the idea'... Later KFD
  23. Congrats on the little one. Again, with that paint- the only thing missing is blaring "Slow Ride" or "Quadrophenia" on the eight track!!!
  24. Dude! I loved that commerical!!!! I remember that one, everytime I hear Van Halen I think of GI joe!!!!
