Rear view mirror?  Some early Maxima mirrors are a direct fit to the existing mount holes and have "dim" feature lacking in 410 and 411 cars.

Hood release cable handle ?  Temporary fix I used is a black anodized drawer pull knob.  The standard knob thread fits the hood shaft thread.  Who knows you just might find a "Tee" shaped knob that doesn't look too bad.

I will look at Home Depot.

But I'm hoping somebody has a broken cable with a good knob I can scoop up.

The old Bluebird is an interesting design.

If the early 410/411 has the same triangular 3 screw mounting pattern up on the headliner/roof rail, like the 68-on 510, that style was Federally mandated as "breakaway" mirrors, used well into the 1990's!  I grab Nissan & Subaru mirrors for the 510's. If you go buy one at a junkyard, just grab the mirror stalk firmly & yank on it.............it will "pop" off into your hand........mirror & stalk!  Be sure to grab the base plate with the mirror off the donor car!!   The later mirrors that attach to the glass are COMPLETELY different. 😎

thanks for the tip. Hope to find something.

I am not aware of Datsun junkyards near Austin, Texas but would love to find one.

Anybody with some old parts should sell me something. I'm ready to buy

I have some various knobs, perhaps hood release & choke, that were likely collected from older Datsun's...........??  Sorry, I have NO IDEA what the 410/411 came with, so I can't identify, but pics might help...............you can host & post here or send to my email yenpit@hotmail.com.

wow, thanks for all the input. Yes I have the 3-screw mirror mount.

Wish I could post photos but I'm ignorant. Searching the site for "help" or "FAQ" turns up zero.

How do you figure out how to use the site?

I'm old school too, but I manage!  If you want to verify the 3 bolt mounting, send me a pic or two, maybe with a tape measure up there, to yenpit@hotmail.com!  Happy to help! 😎

it's 3 screws in a triangle for sure. All I really need is the glass mirror, everything else is good.

I am still trying to figure out how to post a photo.

too bad there's not an obvious option on the site to simply "attach photo".  I will continue to look for such an option, I know, it's kinda odd in 2021 to include a picture with text message

The hood release is a "Tee" handle that screws on to the cable end and is usually fixed in place with a set screw.

X75 there is a new way to post pics!  At the bottom left corner of YOUR response window here, it says "Drag files here or choose files".  The pics must be less than 4MB, so you might have to compress them to post.  This site had always required hosting pics on a website like Photobucket (everyone here says don't use that one!), but I simply don't host pics to post, so I can't help beyond this!  You CAN also post pics in a TOPIC thread...................I sent you a Private Message (PM) explaining how.  Hope that helps!

Again, I have a box full of various knobs that I haven't tried to identify...........I buy & sell mostly 510 & Z car!  I will look this weekend.............

You won't ever find a Datsun specific junkyard these days, only goofballs like me that "collect" parts & parts cars, but again, I rarely have any known-to-be 411 parts!  We go to COTA in Austin, for the big vintage race end of October/early November & run a couple of 240Z's!  Pic below is at Road America in Wisconsin!
