haubstr
This is the piece that screws on to the speedo gear on the transmission and changes the angle 90 Deg. so the speedo cable doesn't have an extreme angle. Does anyone know what Datsuns they come on? I broke mine and I'm looking for another... I found my original one on a '80? 510 wagon derby car... It was pretty beat up... Thanks Haubstr Quote Link to comment
ppeters914
Like Jason said -- roadsters, and they ain't cheap : http://www.datsunroadster.com/PIC_PAGES/NEW_PARTS_PIC_PAGES/327-16.htm http://www.datsunparts.com/1341 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Get a longer speedo cable. Any 720 4X4 will have a monster long (at the least 2 feet longer) cable as it reaches back to the divorced transfer case. Probably a 620 or 720 2 wd w/5spd will work. Quote Link to comment
ppeters914
A longer cable may or may not keep it from making a sharp bend. I'm actually curious how you broke the adapter. Quote Link to comment
Jason
I think the used adapters go for 75-100$. My buddy bought one for his car at Canby for $75.... Quote Link to comment
ppeters914
Almost $150 from the roadster vendors. Do you still have a roadster, Jason? Quote Link to comment
Jason
Sure do Pete, sitting in the garage looking purdy ;-)! Quote Link to comment
ADrummond
There's one on ebay right now, at $5. It might be the worst-ever ebay photo, so you can't really tell for sure what it is or what kind of condition it's in, but it's probably worth five bucks! Andrew Quote Link to comment
71-521
damn, it went for the 5 too! Quote Link to comment
