Fineline Posted January 8, 2009 Report Share Posted January 8, 2009 From what i've read try and mark the compressor wheel in relation to the shaft and try to get them back together the same way. Either that or have the rotating assy. balanced once you get it back together. I have heard its not as critical on the oil bearing turbos as on a BB turbo though. Quote Link to comment

Skib Posted February 14, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 14, 2009 Iv been so side tracked with putting the rest of the motor together Iv got the cold side off and nothing more :( Im going to pick up some bolts and washers today and will have some nice pics on the build page, then Ill get to come back to this lol the hot side bolts are in there good Im gonna hope that soaking it in PB blaster will do the trick. 72240z Posted February 14, 2009 Report Share Posted February 14, 2009 I had a VERY hard time getting the center and hot side housing apart when I did my z32's. On a hot plate outside I simmered it in oil, then with heavy gloves and a dead blow hammer finessed them apart. Only mention it because if your having trouble with the bolts I'd bet good money that's going to be a problem too. They rust together like its kismet or something lol. Quote Link to comment
