jefe de jefes
From the info I have gathered , The wheels in the following link will only fit a 510(stock fendered) that has 280z struts up front correct? I'd like to run some 16's on my 4 door. Looks like I have stock struts with cut stock coils. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/pts/971196784.html **Info from listing** Brand New Set of 4!!! Diameter:15" or 16" (add $20) Width: 8" Offset: +0 Bolt Pattern: 4x100 and 4x114.3 Style: Wantanabe Panasport Banana Color: Black, Gunmetal, Silver, Red Price: $350/Set of 4 or $550 with Tires!!! LeX
you are going to need a good bit of camber as well front and rear under stock fenders so factor that in. Not going to fit with 280zx or stock without lots of camber :) Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
Thanks for the reply. I'm on the hunt for some wheels that will fit my lowered dime without mods for now. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Look for something with an offset of +15 to +20 give or take. Because of the shape of the rear arms it's not easy to say exactly what fits given the changes in diameter and offset of wheels. I can tell you 16x8 +38 will require shaving some off the rear arm, but will otherwise fit. 16x7 +33 will fit on S12 200sx front struts dependent on where the spring perch ends up. Here's a pic of that: Quote Link to comment
INDY510
Dude,,, those wheels will never fit a stock fendered 510 This is a pic of 16x8 zero offset wheels, and the tires are about 1mm from the stock 510 struts This pic is 16x7 Rota rb's with +22mm offset So yeah do some more research,,, because 16x8 wheels will NEVER fit in the front of a non-flared 510, no matter what offset Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
Well , I just picked up the 510 on Friday so I have yet to get deep into the front strut info. Looks like i'll need to do the swap regardless if I want to run some of the bigger wheels. Quote Link to comment
INDY510
280zx struts will not help,,, you will still need 16x7 with +22mm offset Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
This pic is 16x7 Rota rb's with +22mm offset That's exactly the look i'm shooting for. Is that your ride? "16x7 Rota rb's with +22mm offset" <<-- Is that the same for front and rears? I'm also guessing that has the 280z front strut swap with coilovers correct? Thanks for the pics.I somewhat have an idea of the direction I have to take.. Time for some heavy reading. I think I saw a thread by mklotz regarding strut modding. Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
280zx struts will not help,,, you will still need 16x7 with +22mm offset Ok , wheels don't need to be 8" in width .I was just using the CL posting as a starting/reference point. Actually the pic of the dime w/16x7 is exactly what I am looking to do. Quote Link to comment
chumstone
Well I'm now confused. I have 280 ZX struts with coilovers and 15x7 wheels with +15 offset and they hit the struts. Now someone says that 16x7 with +22 offset fit great. I wonder if there is any difference between 2 doors and wagon strut locations? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
you think your confused?LOL I'm just geting started. Quote Link to comment
oregondime
+22 brings the wheel even closer to the strut then a +15 does. i run small spacers up front and i have those wheels posted at the beginning of the post mine are 16x7 +15 and i have 280zx struts. Quote Link to comment

Your ride looks like mine, without the wheels of course. 16x7 on all four corners right? Did you roll your fenders? Edited December 29, 2008 by jefe de jefes Quote Link to comment
oregondime
yea 16x7 205's all corners unfortunately they dont make any other different sizes for a 16" Quote Link to comment
