You can get programs to pick your old hard drive for any information. Did you replace your HD with a new one? I attached one here for you to DL if you like. It works great for me. :) Good luck!

thanks qwik thats exactly what i was looking for! and a few sites ive never even seen :)

 

well its a gateway laptop harddrive, and i went and got a harddrive enclosure and hooked it up to my new laptop and my old win2k desktop and neither computer liked it, they both saw it, but couldnt access it, but it accessed the original "system restore" partition.. :( took it to best buy so they could transfer the whole harddrive over to an external, and they claimed it had to be sent off to the geek squad central "white room" to do high speed shit to it. ill try that file when i get back to california. im running out of ideas...
