What are the odds. Just left an auto glass repair shop to see if they could reseal my sunroof. Didn't want to mess with it myself. But the man said it would take some sanding and priming for the adhesive to hold. So im at home depot picking up what I need to get it done. If I had the skills and tools, I would delete the darned thing. It's crazy hot here in the summer so I need to also fabricate some sort of interior cover for it. Not sure what materials I'm gonna make it out of yet. My front windshield is also leaking but I'll leave those questions for a different post. Don't want to hi-jack this one.

The glass panel will be removable.  You could take it to a tint shop and have them put extremely dark or completely opaque film on it.  You might find that you like having the option to vent the heat out of the top of the cab.

I had one in my 620 and from that experience I would never do it again. In the winter frost would form from warm damp carpet that condensed on the cold glass. This would melt and drip off onto the driver depending if L or R turns. A cover for insulation would sure have helped. The rubber seal was somewhat like a bicycle inner tube. With age (and cold) it was less flexible and was not a good seal.
