Damnsun 720
Hey guys, so we are installing my dad's rebuilt Z24 motor. We had an issue where the hose was bad, so we got a new one, and it fits the inlet fine, but it was kind of big on the yellow part under the intake manifold. We just clamped it hoping it doesn't leak but what is that part that is under the intake because I'm looking online and it doesn't look similar to anything I can find. I'm going to leave it as is since it's never given us issues. I'm leaving this as reference as well, in case anyone ever needs this in the future. Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
That part is NLA and it looks like someone hit up the plumbing aisle to make up an equivalent. Should be something like:14075-89W00 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It only has to work, not look perfect. It allows flow out of the intake, joins any flow from the heater if turned on and directs it to the lower radiator hose to return it to the water pump. 1 Quote Link to comment
Damnsun 720
Got it. We don’t have AC or a heater core but it’s good to know what it’s for. Thank you DGuy and Mike. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Then make sure the other heater hose from the side of the block is closed off to flow if connected to this fitting. Quote Link to comment
