Lukehorror
I have been looking around trying to find the specific bolt size needed for my seat belts and can't seem to find anything. Does anyone know the specific size? I found the bolt size for the seats which is M8x1.25 but the bolts for the seatbelt anchors are larger. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I believe the seat belt bolts were spec'd by NHTSA or some other governing body, and across the board, whether it be Japanese, British, American car, they are all 7/16-20 UNF. Beware that they almost always have a shoulder on them so they don't actually tighten onto the seat belt bracket. The shoulder tightens against the floor before it clamps onto the bracket. There are usually some thin fiber washers that go onto the bolt too. This bolt is from Seat Belt Planet, but you can get them just about anywhere. Lukehorror
Right on, thanks for that. I'll get some and see how it goes. 1 Quote Link to comment
iceman510
In my experience, there are now some vehicles that utilize other sizes, but for anything maybe 10 years old and older (approximately), the 7/16-20 is the size. Be careful as it is quite close to an 11 x 1.0 mm thread (though that is not a common metric size anyway). 1 Quote Link to comment
