banzai510(hainz)
I got this alternator from Jeff years ago. I believe its from Z specailties in Snohomish Washington I think its a GM AC Delco clone ,maybe chinese. Seems it sized for a 510 as it uses the smaller alt bolts thru the ears. I forgot how one hooks this up as the plug is full of RTV. I seen soem write ups best to use the connector for the sense wires. And what to do with the stock T connector on the vehicle. GM alt are self ecxiting if I remember right. if some one lives near by i sell it for 25$. as I have 4 stock Japan made alt as the one in photo next to it(for the 521. But if I can use it maybe I will also what vehicle this comes from as besides they put a bushing in one of the ears to size for the lower alt bracket is almost a clone of a Hitachi. as the other right up I see people amking longer adjustment brackers ect for the saturn alt when this one is exact. datzenmike
If self exciting you only need the plug for the red charge light. Quote Link to comment

So how this work?since the plug is RTV up? is the jumpers make the light go out? My T connector? I assume I still short the wires at the volt reg. Stoffregen Motorsports
It's obviously been modified. Probably a one wire hookup. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Maybe they have a volt meter in the car. That would tell you if charging or not. 2 Quote Link to comment
