zed1
The choke cable on my 520 broke at the barrel fitting behind the desk knob. I have been unable to remove the remnants of the twisted strand cable from the barrel. Therefore, it would appear that I cannot use an aftermarket cable with the OEM assembly. Is anyone aware of an alternative cable that accepts the original set screw knob? Thanks, Keith Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
It is possible to drill and pick the old cable out of the knob end. Once it's out, you can tin a new cable and solder it to the extension behind the knob. You''d have better luck finding a used cable. Quote Link to comment

I've been in & out of the British parts industry for MANY years (back in it again recently) & I lived in SW Michigan for many!! I know John Twist & University Motors!! This video is older, John is now retired. I sold John MG parts for many years & attended his MASSIVE British car almost show every year! He was a very interesting character! 😎 1 Quote Link to comment
