Choke cable 520 with Nikki carburetor

The choke cable on my 520 broke at the barrel fitting behind the desk knob. I have been unable to remove the remnants of the twisted strand cable from the barrel. Therefore, it would appear that I cannot use an aftermarket cable with the OEM assembly.

Is anyone aware of an alternative cable that accepts the original set screw knob?

Thanks,

Keith

Wow what a throwback!!  I've been in & out of the British parts industry for MANY years (back in it again recently) & I lived in SW Michigan for many!!  I know John Twist & University Motors!!  This video is older, John is now retired.  I sold John MG parts for many years & attended his MASSIVE British car almost show every year!  He was a very interesting character! 😎
