datzenmike
With so much talk about a 5 speed in your 521, you are aware that the 71B 5 speed does not just drop in? Your, I assume, stock 4 speed is 26" and the 5 speed 31.5" so driveshaft will need to be taken to a shop and shortened by 5.5". In addition the 521 transmission mount will need to be sectioned and welded. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
No need to take apart, you only have to fit the transmission into the truck as outlined. Quote Link to comment
robrizzo
Getting drive shaft is easy easy easy. changing the mount also easy I took some photos and should have taken more. I use a mount from another hour because the price for a 521 mount was over 100 Quote Link to comment

We gave to push our MG Midget to get going. We can go through turn 11 at Sears Point in first. Super close gear ratio. 1 Quote Link to comment

Toyota/Mazda/Isuzu 6 lug also fit as does GM and Ford. I sent you a private message with a calculator tool for comparing what you have now with what might work. There is no easy answer for this, you have to make some measurements and plug the numbers in. Generally stock rims are probably zero offset but this can be confirmed with a tape measure. Would you send me this calculator as well please? Quote Link to comment
