banzai510(hainz)
GO TO THE STRUT TOWER NEAR THE FUSE BOX there will be 2 relay looking canisters. try looking at them and near the fuse box ck for corrosion. als near the light. datsun wiring is pretty good and most times its just corrosion Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
do you mean that when you wiggle the turn/signal stalk, the headlights come on/off? If so, the switch under the steering wheel is loose. Quote Link to comment

420n620
if you got a small sandblaster, you can give the connectors a 1-2 seconds blast to clean them up w/fine sand. if not, use fine sand paper or scuff pad... I did this to my 72 Gt-37 a couple years ago and havent had a problem since. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
yeah when i wiggle the switch they go on and offThe problem is in the switch, not the fuse box. Unbolt the column cover and make sure all looks right inside. Then tighten the t/s to the column. That usually fixes it. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
well Im cunfused on this one ? He said he has no LOWBEAMS so it would have nothing to do with the switch in the column. The column has the highbeam ground to trigger the relay on the back of the strut tower near the fuse box area. When this happens it route 2 sets of grounds to the headlights. Cause the Lamps are already wire to the battery via fuse box. Unless Im off here please inform me. I will assume this is the standard cheap replaceable lamps. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The switch in the column can switch off the lowbeams (in normal operation it does not). This happened to me when the switch was loose. Anyways think about it: Wiggle switch, headlights go wonky. What would a fuse have to do with that??? Quote Link to comment
