Mike Phillips
After driving my 620 for that last 4 months now, (trouble free), the 3rd row seat out of a 1986 is working pretty well. I'm 5' 11" so it is more cramped than the original but the seat is comfortable since it was hardly ever used, so I'll give up a little room for a comfortable ride. The below was originally posted here, Lil Blue Update The original seat is absolutely toast but we'll save it for a future rebuild, until then we have a third row seat out of a 1986 Suburban with nothing to do so we did some quick measuring and found it will fit, just have to un-bolt the arm rests. The original seat is behind the tan seat. Size it up... Remove the arm rests and make a couple of mounts and we're good to go.. 1 Quote Link to comment
CharlieBucket
funny this popped up again. i got the truck back yesterday, and my frontier bench seat works nicly. fits good, i'll get pictures soon but my camara broken. i looks like it was made for it really. it is just sitting in there now, i havn't mounted it yet. i had some buckets sitting on the floor and it seemed to provide much more headroom of course but less leg room. with the bench i have good legroom but my head touches the roof. i'm still looking for some lowback old school buckets. izzo
For the ones who put the seats into their trucks, do you have any pictures of how you bolted it down or can you take some of them bolted in (the actual bolt in the floor) Quote Link to comment
Mike Phillips
I have some as I made it more complicated than it had to be and then bolted some speakers in at the same time, (another mistake but now I don't have to whistle) Will try to post them tonight. :) Quote Link to comment
Mike Phillips
Sorry, couldn't find them, must have deleted them thinking no one would want to see how I configured my mounts. I ended up using a piece of flat sheet aluminum and some plumbing pipe for spacers to lift it off the floor so it wouldn't teeter on the hump. I mounted some speakers in the aluminum plate which are going to come out in the near future and when I remove them I'll take a picture or two of how I mounted them. On another topic, I did get a new gauge for my dash, it's called Electra Scope Haven't wired it up yet but plan to in the future... :) Quote Link to comment
