Suspension

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone, I picked up a 521 project truck out of Cali that has ford 289 and 9” rear end. I just finally got my custom rear axles back and now have my rear brakes and everything working properly. I would like to do some suspension work to it but finding anything for these trucks that is an upgrade from stock is hard. Any tips out there for me? Thanks in advance.

What are you trying to do?

The torsion bars are adjustable but maybe an extra coil that mounts over the front shock?

I would be upgrading the front brakes to disc, way before I would upgrade the suspension. Four 10" drum brakes has a lot of stopping power but to keep them at optimum they need constant attention, adjustment and maintenance.

I already have a disc brake kit coming for it front and rear. It’s not the best but until I decide what I want to graph the front end with it’ll do.

Do you mean "graft", as in graft a Crown Vic front end to an F1 truck?
