Bluebird SSS tail lights

Hey yall i just acquired new 510 and im very excited to own one, im currently looking for the bluebird SSS tail lights, does any one you know whos selling one or knows where to find them?

I assume you mean coupe tail lights?  (not all SSS cars were coupes and not all coupes were SSS)

They are readily available on yahoo Japan.

Also, I see you are "80datson" with a '79 210.  What year is your 510?  My assumption was '68-73 but maybe I was wrong?

For auctions in japan you typically need to use a buyer agent aka a proxy bidder.  Most japanese who are selling dont speak English and dont ship international, so a proxy bidder buys it for you, has it shipped to them, then they ship it to you.  If you are buying multiple items, they will gather them all and ship them together for you.

 

I'm sure someone on here can recommend a reliable proxy bidder they have used.

thank you for your reply! i never bought anything using a proxy bidder, yes hopefully someone can chime in and help me out i would love to buy those taillights

I use buyee - google them.

 

very easy and reasonable fees.

 

Just note that shipping from Japan takes ages at the moment - at least the lower cost options.

And for what its worth, just from reading Carter's multiple threads, he's done a pretty fair amount of ordering from Japan.  I know his opinion is based on experience.
