Balberghini
Throwout bearing has become separated from the clutch fork it seems, from what I understand the trans will have to come out. Is it easier to drop the tranny or remove the motor with the tranny attached? if dropping the tranny does the front diff/axles/ have to come off or not? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The release bearing is pressed on, it doesn't come off. What exactly is wrong???? Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
If the fork came loose from the release bearing collar and its clips, you could possibly get it back into place by removing the clutch slave and wiggling it around inside the bellhousing until it gets back under the clips. datzenmike
Miss-read this. Take the rubber boot off the arm and carefully detach the clutch arm off the pivot ball. Use a flash light. The collar will need to be turned so the arm can clip under the spring ends. I think this is do-able. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
They are right, it's worth trying to do without pulling anything apart. That being said, since you have a 4x4 its far easier to pull the motor. I've done both ways and pull the engine every time now. Edited August 26, 2020 by Lockleaf Quote Link to comment
