JTG11B
I recently picked up a 1986 Nissan 720 with a Z20 in it from a buddy for a great price. It runs fair but I can tell it definitely needs a chunk of work, I was hoping for some advice on where to start or where to find good vaccum and wiring diagrams. The compressor pump and a lot of the AC components have been removed which isn't huge since i live in the fair weathered mountains of Arizona. I have a Chilton manual but I don't know if it'll quite make the cut for everything I need. Please help a newcomer get into the auto world the right way and help me make some right choices, any and all advice is hugely appreciated. https://ibb.co/pr3hVNj https://ibb.co/fxWddHr https://ibb.co/LnD8y3G 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Go on line and buy a used factory service manual (FSM) for your year of 720. Amazon? e-Bay? They are about $80 more often much less than this. They are about 1 1/2" thick and only cover your year truck unlike Chiltons and Haynes that cover 6 1/2 years worth and are half a s thick. Most of their info is from the FSM anyway. These pay for themselves every time you use it. I see the PS is disconnected, that must be fun to steer. 1 Quote Link to comment
bottomwatcher
FSMs can be found online as a download for free. Check compression first to get a good overall idea of the health of the engine as a starting point 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Great if you can print out what you need. I like to read in the bathroom. Oh, wait. They have portable things now. 1 Quote Link to comment
