Look what we got, SRT4 Caliber

My wife and I just got a new 09 Dodge Caliber SRT4, it's got the 2.4 16 valve turbo 6 speed. This thing will shit and git. I'd love to yank that motor out and put it in my KC 620. Here's some pics, she's dirty, been raining.

I wish I could. This is the first brand new care we have ever owned and she is PAID FOR! I'll get some better pics up when the weather clears up and I can give her a bath. This thing is a blast to drive. It makes me want to do some kind of turbo on the 620.

How does the power and handling compare to the Neon SRT4? I test drove a new Neon SRT4 and it was a blast but had bad torque steer like any FWD does. IT sure hauled ass though.

Yeah Mark, I'm not much on fwd. It's like it's trying to get away from you when you really getting on it. Not sure on the Neon srt, but this thing is fun to drive. And the gas mileage is real good if your not on it all the time.

i have the neon srt4. 1st gear is hard to launch, way too much torque and fwd leads to lots of wheel hop (and cracked oil pans if youre not careful). very fun to drive either way.

is that the intercooler hard pipe on top? i wish my neon hard pipe was routed like that. i had a fun time trying to put it back on in my driveway, as its routed underneath the motor to the bottom of the turbo. :mad:

 

 

 

do you plan on modding this thing?

 

 

btw, im not a big fan of the plastic shroud thing, but i bet you can hide a bunch of cool race parts under there
