85 720 carbs

I have a 1985 Nissan 720 2.4l 2wd the carb has a 6 wire plug on it.i have another carb just like it but has a 2 wire plug on it.are the y interchangeable with a little splicing

Best bet is to find a wiring diagram for both carbs and then it will be pretty easy to adapt.

Here's the wiring diagram for the stock Hitachi carburetor:

 

 

From what I've read about swapping carbs, the only one you need is the choke wire.

The above is the electronic feedback carburetor. It's half way to being EFI/carburetor. It has a variable primary jet solenoid that flutters open and closed to let gas through. This is controlled by a computer to set the air fuel ratio with feedback from a closed loop O₂ sensor. I'm not sure if the mounting bolt pattern is the same as a regular carb but if it is all you need is connect the Red idle cut and the Blue (marked L in the diagram) choke heater wires.

Thanks for the help and diagram on the diagram it has a red and black wire on antideseling solenoid and on my other carb it just has a red wire on it. Not really sure how to splice that in. Other than that I’m good to go

I have the same carb, where can I get the full service manual or diagrams like this for it?

Factory service manual? e-bay probably.
