Started Cutting Rusted quarter panel

Thats the best way to get rid of rust...cut out the old & weld in the new. How loud is the exhaust ?

lol, its really loud, at first it was "cool", but it got kinda annoying, im not sure if should replace the inner supports behind the outer body panel??:blink::confused:

did you find a donor panel from another 510, or are you going another route?

I've started to make the inner pieces from scratch today, tomorrow i will cut out the rusted inner supports and weld in my new piece i fabricated(if it fits close engough) its kind of difficult when 3/4ths of the panel and support behind it are gone, i kinda had to guess what it should look like, i will post more pics ....

I have finished cutting out the rusted panel, now here is the inner piece i had to remake from scratch:

(I still need to grind down the welds)

Ground down the ugly a** welds, and spread some bondo(first time ever touching the stuff:)

you didnt sanded the xcess of bondo??

thank you, i have sanded down the bondo and re-sprayed the cheap primer as a temporary weather barrier, i just have some other places to cut out like the rear passenger quarter.

 

(still dont know if i should sand down whole car to be painted)
