datzenmike
http://community.ratsun.net/topic/66281-want-new-hot-spark/ http://community.ratsun.net/topic/26308-hot-spark-electronic-ignition/ The 'hot spark' is not really hot. It replaces the points but does not deliver a hotter voltage. Electronic ignitions (EI) do both with a lower impedance coil. (under 1 ohm) Stock coils are about 3 ohms with the ballast resistor. racerx
Heard mix reviews about Hotspark but pertronix is a sure thing. Have it on my 510 for like 14 years and no issues, had it on my 75 Celica, not issues and 65 mustang no issues. It may cost more but to me it's worth it. Go on line and see what others say about Hotspark. 1 Quote Link to comment
kelowg
Matchbox setup can be had for close same price and actually gives u stronger spark. Can widen plug gap to .040 or more. Only issue is its 180° out from point s setup. Just move wires around on cap and reset timing,go. Worried bout ign module failure,gm hei module well work. Just needs heat sink. Msd box also can take its place, using the pickup wires. Pent. wont work dual point dizzy Quote Link to comment
