bbydanny
Hey all. I just picked up another 521 this pass weekend. I've been without a datsun for almost 3 years. Anyhow I am looking at buying new wheels and tires and wanted to get everyone's advice if this setup will work. I'm looking at Level 8 bronze wheels. They are a 16" x 8" wheel with 4.11 backspace. The tires are continental DWS. Hey are a 205/45/16. I'm looking to see if anyone is running this configuration and if it will work. Thanks 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
You're going to be real close to rubbing the inside. You'll also have more tuck than you may like. I think 4.5 will rub. Link to your wheels? 1 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
I know +39 16x7 with no tires hits rear frame, but I think that's about 5-1/4" backset. 1 Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
You should be good. The other good thing is with that offset you will clear the leafspring plates witht he 16. I had 15x8 0 Offset and no problems. 1 Quote Link to comment

DatEz
Is there an offset and wheel spec chart for fitting the 521 somewhere? I have a set of wheels 15x7 -15, and I'm also considering buying another set that is 15x7.5 -21, but I am not sure if I will be rubbing with the negative of an offset. 1 Quote Link to comment

The inbound concerns start when running positive offset wheels or too fat of a tire. Outbound issues occur with extremely negative offset wheels, or wheels that are just way too wide. Those specs you list above should be fine. 1 Quote Link to comment

What's the max specs the 521 wheel wells can have to keep a flush fitment? Quote Link to comment
hosestop@msn.com
One set is +10 and one set +15 both barely fit , I think 8s are good but you guys want to burn some paint and bend fenders out so get those - sizes. My old 521 had 16x8s the teal one on here. Quote Link to comment
