Battlecat
Also known as a "wheelhouse", sometimes and "Inner Fender". Anyway I had a leaking battery some years ago in my 1986 720 which not only ate away a lot of the battery tray, but the entire support underneath the battery tray is rotting away as well. Although I can find it listed on all the Nissan sites (part number 6410010W00) and even a Rock Auto site (aftermarket),but there seem to be none available. Are junk yards the only places I'm going to find one? Does this part "bolt on" or is it welded? I know I'm not the only one who has rust issues in this part - what did you guys do? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
64100-10W00 is the pass side inner fender assembly. Of which the battery tray is part of. Try 64130-06W00.... this is the battery support bracket. (battery tray) About $45 if Nissan has one. Have them do a company wide search. There may be one sitting in a parts department somewhere. It's spot welded into place so.... Probably just as easy to make something up and MIG it on. 1 Quote Link to comment

I certainly need the battery support bracket, but the inner fender assembly has got some serious rust, too. I'll try having the dealer do a company-wide search for that (the entire assembly). 1 Quote Link to comment

MikeRL411
Not too many years ago [yes a subjective term] you could coerce the local Nissan parts counter to inquire into the "Foreign Parts" department of Nissan. Yes, it requires a parts counter person with more than a sixth grade education to do this! Yet if you persist you might luck out. I did this many years ago and got all the parts I needed to rebuild my RL411 starter. Nissan Yokohama sent me a complete list [which I still have] of all unique RL411 parts they had which were used in the RL411 starter and asked just which parts I needed to rebuild my factory unique starter. Now that was the original Nissan support network! They even apologized that they were out of both original OEM and rebuilt starters! 1 Quote Link to comment
