Hotpad
Been a while since I've been in here, having issues with the carb on my truck. Can you guys advise me as to what is my best option for the issue of a old tired stock carburetor . Would even be willing to ship it out to a carburetor gooroo guy, or gal. I've used a guy in the past for other carburetor rebuilds, the guy actually has engines that he tunes the carburetor with....I would be willing to attempt to rebuild the carb, hoping for some advise as to my options, part number, or kits you guys may know of, truck is complete, restored, just having issues with it running correctly, also does anybody have the exhaust donut or know of a replacement aftermarket part, split clamp must crush/seal the exhaust from the manifold to the pipe.will try and post pictures of the truck on here shortly, thanks for advise in the past also. 2 Quote Link to comment
wayno
You need to purchase a rebuild kit if you can find one before you send it off to be rebuilt, I sent mine off and then had to send them one of my gasket kits a month later as they could not find one, the second one I had rebuilt I had to send a complete rebuild kit. i heard that MLP carburetors had made more kits in Australia, but I could not find them on ebay, here is their email address, try them. mlpcarb@gmail.com 2 Quote Link to comment
difrangia
Our 64 didn't have a donut in the exhaust connection. The leadout pipe is flared to mate with the enlarged tapered end that is cast onto the outlet of the exhaust manifold. I wrapped about six layers of wide Teflon plumbers tape around the flare and folded it over into the inside of the flare. Be sure that the leadout pipe and manifold are lined up as good as you can get them. Mine has held up so far. Is your NL the white one that was on the market approximately 2 1/2 years ago up in PA? If so, I was talking with the owner who had it listed when I located one much closer to home (pretty rare to find one in your area or mine; Oklahoma). How about posting some photos? 1 Quote Link to comment

wayno
There are a few numbers on the MLP kits, that number is not one of them. Here is what the MLP paperwork I have says. Description Isuzu Bellett, Nissan/Datsun 320 Nikki Carburettor Kit #261749798948 The MLP kit package says "N21" 1 Quote Link to comment
