That620son
Well fellers I have been on the hunt for another car/truck and I found one. I got a pretty damn good deal on this 1985 Nitsun 720. The main reasons other than the make that I bought it was, the frame looks brand new, no rust at all. The floor pan also looks great and is solid with no rust either. Check in out tell me what you think. I am having to put the 620 on hold for awhile as I can't seem to find what I need at a reasonable price, so on to the 7dub. Sorry some pics are blurry I have a really shitty camera, to be a younger guy, I don't stay up to times on the newer technology and this camera works so I'm not replacing it. Valance and Bumper are crushed but I got a new one with the truck. [ Factory Sunroof Woot Yeah just 133k 1 Quote Link to comment
That620son
Also I have purchased a 2in lowering block kit that I will be putting on, hopefully this weekend. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's over due for a blown head gasket. Factory manuals say to re-torque the headbolts every tune up. It's actually very easy. On a COLD engine, loosen ONE bolt at a time and torque to 60 Ft Lbs. Any order you like but only ONE bolt at a time can be loose. That's it. This keeps a continuous clamping pressure on these gaskets as they age and compress. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Looks like someone installed an ST wheel too. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Has the aluminum dash trim. Might actually be an ST. Sweet truck man. I love those finisher plates on the tail gates. Quote Link to comment

How do I tell the difference in the ST base and deluxe. I have tried to find stuff on the google box but nothing worthwhile. I was wondering because I wouldn't figure a base model to have a sunroof. Lockleaf
The ST was a weird deal. The only guarantees were trim. The steering wheel and the dash trim and a large ST back by the corner of the bed. Everything else seemed to be options, but not guarantees. I have an 85 ST, no sunroof, no ac, power steering is about it. My dad has another ST, same deal, but he also has the tail gate trim. So I would assume you have an ST. Quote Link to comment
That620son
Well, this truck has ps, ac(there but no compressor po took it off), sunroof, slider window, aluminum trim ever where, that steering wheel, front valance. Sure I don't care to say it's an ST, I will gladly roll with that. Quote Link to comment
That620son
Small update. the dash lights were not working when I got the truck and I have fixed them today. I also found out that the temp sending unit is bad. So I will hunt one down and replace it. I messed with maybe switching out the mirrors on it but I'm not to sure about the ones I have. That620son
Semi-Small Update. Well as I had hoped, I have gotten around to lowering the 7dub. I also messed with the hood as it didn't open properly. Before the drop. Sorry for the finger, I'm not a very good photographer. After the drop. After the torsion bars cranked down and the whole truck view. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Looks sweet. How far did you drop it? After about two inches, your torsion bars aren't providing much spring so ride gets sloppy and bottoming out becomes doubly easy, because both lower and softer. Easy fix though, you can just turn the torsion bars one tooth and reset your height. Just search "rekey torsion bars 720" Unless you already did this, then I'm just farting in the wind. Tra-la-la :) Quote Link to comment

Tra-la-la :) Well, I dropped the rear on 2in lowering blocks but the front I had to take down about 3. I don't have much of a bottoming out problem. The problem I do have is the inner fender plastic doesn't want to stay up where it is supposed to be, so when I'm turning and hit a bump I scrap the plastic. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
I scrap the plastic. Yes. You should. ^_^ 1 Quote Link to comment
Rhino13
If you don't want it to rub either get small tires or hammer your fender wells. Quote Link to comment

My fender wells are good, it's just that plastic liner. I may just take it out. I have it parked right now for an oil leak and I ripped the front end off to replace the bumper and valance. I will be posting pics after it is all done. 1 Quote Link to comment
