Differences in 620 grilles?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I need a grille for my '73 620. Is there a difference in parts between early and late, or are they interchangable? I've seen eBay listings for a 'Late' model, that says it fits 78-79. Though, I've also seen listings for grilles that are described as fitting trucks between 72-79.

Thanks!

Both of these are '78 and '79 grills.

The earlier one is far better looking in my opinion. The later ones were more damage resistant and both styles are totally interchangeable.

I was wondering the same thing.  Both my trucks have the late style grille, as I'm looking at all the photos here and wondering where the "cool cooling" grilles came from.  Looks like both mine had been replaced at some time.

On a brighter note, I found that a quick 3 coats of spray-on Plastic Dip makes a faded, rough looking grille very attractive again!
