J-Luis
S-58 Choctaw (Westland Wessex) A sculpture by Paola Pivi’s "Upside Down Helicopter In A Public Place" (2006), a temporary work staged in Salzburg. Pivi placed a Westland Wessex helicopter upside-down, resting on its blades, in the center of Residenzplatz, which abuts the city’s famed Mozartplatz. “Salzburg is the city of Mozart, and I wanted to place the piece in front of the city’s sculpture of Mozart. As a joke, I said it was like me being a cat, and bringing a dead bird to its master. A marvelous present,” said Pivi. The article goes on to say there were some complaints. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

It was damaged, but not severely enough to be scrapped. The plane was saved after it cooled off from being a Nuclear Bomb target in Nevada. They nicknamed it Lady Yucca, due the vegetation around it, and it went on to fly as a fire bomber for quite some time before Collings bought it and restored it as 909 As found... and as Tanker #99 3 Quote Link to comment
