datzenmike
The bolts will snap long before you crush the strut tube, they are thick enough to support the front end weight. Too large a diameter will tighten but not grip the tube. Too small will work just fine but not too too small. Quote Link to comment
DatMo
The ones I found were 1.625 and I need a 1.59. Is that still too big or close enough? Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Im gonna go with too big... Quote Link to comment

DatMo
This. I'll just go with something that's 9/16. it's 5.6 so i assume it should be good. cant find anything that's 1.59.. even though I'd think a 5 inch perimeter is common. Quote Link to comment
DatMo
Well i actually found 1.5. I'm thinking that may be too small.... edit. I saw that the 280zx struts is 2.07 but the 2.0 id clamp worked. I found 40mm clamps which comes out to 1.57 so I'm getting these to fit the 1.59. I'm hoping it all works. Quote Link to comment
DatMo
Well the shafts weren't tight enough so i shaved off a bit of them on the tips so that it tightens more. They came out perfect and I'll be posting pics as soon as my car is done :) Quote Link to comment
Dat Z Sun
What's up with the one piece one bolt collars? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
They have to be slipped over the top of the strut and slid down on. The others can be removed on the car. Otherwise... shrug? Quote Link to comment
Fat510
What's up with the one piece one bolt collars? i think the two piece collars are easier to move multiple times if you want to go lower Quote Link to comment
