flatcat19
Horrible thread title. Totally misleading. I. Am. So. Mad. Right. About. Now. 2 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Fixed the title so now everyone who doesn't give a shit doesn't have to open it to find that out. You know what you want, but not everyone else does. A sensible title attracts those interested. 1 Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
Buy the aluminum radiator from eBay and use your stock fan with the original shroud. Easy. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The above... An electric fan has advantages though. It is only on if needed and if the vehicle is going over 30MPH it isn't needed at all as air will pass through the rad just from forward motion. It's possible to start the engine and drive 250 miles and never have it come on at all. You will need it in stop and go traffic or prolonged idling. The fans must be on a thermal switch. A driver operated switch is foolish unless you constantly watch the gauge and then remember to turn it off. If you plan that, you might as well just leave the mechanical fan on there. Electric fans that rarely turn on save way more than a mechanical one that is on all the time. Quieter also. Quote Link to comment
Scgreen620
I heard it gains hp is that true? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
A hp maybe two, maybe, but there may be mileage gains as this load on the engine is eliminated with an electric fan that rarely comes on. Quote Link to comment
