Justin Berni
Just fucked my truck all up. Accidently hopped a curb. Don't ask.. Only problem is that I have to grip the steering wheel as if my life depends on it, cuz it does. It pulls HARDD to the right. I'm gonna check it all out tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
wayno
Where do you live? I have a few 720 steering parts around here, it depends on what you bent. Quote Link to comment
Justin Berni
Vancouver, by padden and 152nd. I'll post pictures in like 30 minutes. I think I am gonna have to do some bending and welding to fix it haha. But thanks Wayno. Quote Link to comment
Justin Berni
As you can see, one side is find, one side is fucked. And since that's part of the frame I'm not sure how to go about fixing it. Any advice would be great. I doubt I'll be able to pound it back in place. Also what is that bar called, the one that goes to the mount that I broke. Quote Link to comment
wayno
It's called a tension rod, I would have to see it in person to see if you can work around it, you see it is adjustable, the frame itself would have to be bent back to affect the lower control arm alignment, in the photos it looks like you just bent the mount, not the frame, something else is likely bent if it is affecting your steering. Justin Berni
Nothing else is obvious to be bent, so I'll have to look harder. But yeah it pulls wayyy hard, if I let go in an open space I could drive in circles. If the steering is caused by something else and I fixed that, what would happen if I couldn't fix this mount? Bad alignment? Quote Link to comment
wayno
Like I said, I would have to see it in person, in the photos it doesn't look that bad. How many bolts are holding your lower balljoint in on that side now, it looks like at least one is missing in the photo, but it might be that I just cannot see it in the photos you have provided. Justin Berni
I'll have to jack it back up and look tomorrow, I already parked it in the garage for the night. I'll post more tomorrow, thanks Wayno. Quote Link to comment
Justin Berni
All the bolts are there on the lower balljoint Quote Link to comment
wayno
You work tomorrow? I ask because I have a job in the morning, but I expect to be done about noon or a little before noon, I could likely drop by and take a look at it. Quote Link to comment
Justin Berni
That'd be awesome. I'm not doing anymore tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
