MicroMachinery
I had to come in here to find out what a zed was. Quote Link to comment
SHARPSHOOTER280Z
I call that good marketing Quote Link to comment
Jester
Z Therapy in Salem can fix you up with a manifold. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I had to come in here to find out what a zed was. Half of zed zed top? Seriously Canadian sounding. Only the later 280zx had a year when they ran hydraulic 'lifters' and they didn't work so well. 1 Quote Link to comment
SHARPSHOOTER280Z
Well, looks like I might be going triple-forties on the intake. As far as the head goes, it'd cost be $35 to go solid lifter, so that's still up in the air Quote Link to comment
Jester
You need to give Steve at Z Therapy a call. If you need any L series go fast goodies, he can hook you up. Ask if you can peak at his Z. He'll show ya. Now.................about those pics Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
His Z is at the peak of this game. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Have you considered the upgraded straight six from a Z32? Good used Japan motor has 180 HP factory stock, and versions factory 280 HP versions are even less cost (because they aren't from a Z). Quote Link to comment

As far as I know Z32s got a VG30DE or VG30dett. Maybe you meant R32? Quote Link to comment
SHARPSHOOTER280Z
Pics will be here as soon as I get the bottom end in my possession from a friend. If I could get an RB26DET, I'd grab one, but getting one imported comes with quite the shipping quote, the reason I'm turning my attention to my car is I'm looking for something more bolt-in than a V8 swapped 620 to boost my morale from my 4×4 build (which I'm extremely burnt out on). I have a series-1 Z thats on hold to get an RB26DETT, but as with all of my builds I want to do it right with no corners cut, so that requires some real $$$. Not in any extreme rush at the moment, so just kinda waiting on the right set of triple weber to come along, and if push comes to shove, I know where I can pick up a decent set of delorto carbs, but I'd rather not pick apart my mates car Quote Link to comment
SHARPSHOOTER280Z
sorry, these are a little late! heres the engine, dirty, but untampered with and the bottom end is in good condition. probably just going to get a re-hone and re-ring balancer was an unholy mother to get off all dis-assembled and ready for cleaning, paint, and rebuilding! oh, and cant forget the car! more photos soon... Rhapakatui
Love the diamags! I almost got a set of those a while back for $40 but somebody beat me there while I was at my kids baseball practice. I dig the go fast stripes too. Quote Link to comment
